It only took mere moments before Gosalyn burst into a sob, her loud wails accompanying the sound of palm against flesh.

"I'm sorry!" Gosalyn sobbed. "I didn't mean to- to..." She couldn't say it. To say it would mean accepting the fact that she did it, whether it was her intention or not.

To accept that, in helping Darkwing Duck return to his own universe, to his own Gosalyn, meant that she had betrayed her dad. She had gone against him.

"But you did!" Negaduck said, still spanking Gossyln fast and hard.

Those words stung Gosalyn to her core. The confirmation that her dad really did believe that she had betrayed him hurt the little duck more than his punishment ever could.

"I was- I just-" Gosalyn struggled to get her words out past her sobs. "I just wanted to help Darkwing."

"And now, you're paying for it!" Negaduck said, also hitting Gosslyn's thighs.

It was no use, Gosalyn realised. No matter how she tried to justify her actions, her dad had firmly made up his mind about her. Exhausted of excuses and energy, Gosalyn laid her head down and continued to sob into the bed.

All she could now was face her punishment, no matter how long it would be.

Negaduck went on for five more minutes, leaving Gosslyn's bottom red and blistered.

By that point, Gosalyn had run out of tears, and she lay limply over her father's lap. Her backside ached like crazy, but not as much as her heart did. If she ever wanted to repair the relationship with her father, she was going to do a lot of work.

Negaduck pushed Gosslyn off his lap and left the room.

Gosalyn curled into the tightest ball she could form, but she didn't have any tears left in her small body. She didn't need her mirror - not that she had one, anyway - to know her bottom was bruised. It felt like she wouldn't be able to sit for at least two days. She couldn't even think that far ahead.

At some point, the utterly exhausted little girl had drifted off to sleep. When she woke, her room was dark. Moonlight filtered through the curtains, but otherwise, her room was pitch black. Gosalyn strained her ears to see if she could hear anything. There was nothing.

She gingerly climbed down from her bed and winced in pain as she walked over to her door. The redhead cracked it open and poked her head through. There was a light shining from downstairs, but no sound. Ignoring the pounding of her heart, Gosalyn crept over to the stairs and took them one-by-one.

"D-Dad?" she said out loud, more to announce her presence than to find out where he was. "I'm," Gosalyn swallowed the lump in her throat, "I'm hungry..."

"Fine." Negaduck said, going to get some food, for her.
