A shy smile curled the corners of Violet's mouth and she clasped her hands behind her back after setting down the groceries.

"... Y-Yeah, it's me, Mom."

Taylor could only stare at his big sister like he was currently dreaming this. He was wishing hard he wasn't.

Misty gently sat Taylor on the floor and quickly closed the distance to Violet, pulling Violet into a hug "Welcome Home my Violet. I missed you" Misty sobbed as her eyes teared up

Susan and Ash put the bags of items down on the table and stood to one side of kitchen, taken in the scene before them

"Really? It must've been a lot quieter around here without me," Violet awkwardly joked. Just as awkwardly, all she felt she could do was to stand there only in her mother's arms.

"Misty nodded her head then released Violet from her embrace then put Taylor in his eldest sister's arm "Both of you say hi to each other"commented Misty stand next Susan and Ash

Taylor turned his head to his mother, his sparkling green eyes as big as a plate.

"Whoah!!" the little boy exclaimed, his older sister giggling, "You mean this isn't a dream?!" Taylor didn't wait for a confirmation from his mother and practically threw himself around his sister's neck, burying his head into the crook of her neck.

"Where's Julia?" Violet asked as her little brother nuzzled her. She gave a curious glance around the room to spot any signs her sister was about to burst in.

Misty replied "She asleep on her bed not even pack for our family vacation in three days" Misty had amused look to her face until the door bell rang. Misty open it "Mom.. you here early.." Misty trailed off see then the hand bag that called the hairbrush that will be used her behind soon that day

"That sounds like Julia, all right," Violet said to her father since her mother had gone to answer the door. "How has she been?"

Jasmine wore a sweet, loving smile which gave no indication to her true intention.

"Yes, well, I heard from someone that the gym leader's daughter had arrived back in the city, and I thought I should come over early to see her."

"You know, filling your position of go to babysitter and helper to your mother and I"commented Ash, with smirk "Still handful" add Susan

Misty nodded and step back to let her mother into her house "How is father?" Misty made small talk as she lead her way to kitchen

"A handful? Julia?" Violet smirked along with her dad. "Surely not my little sister?"

"He's getting better, don't you worry." Misty's father, Richard, had been suffering from a bad cold for the past week; and although it had been starting to clear up, he still didn't want to take the risk of giving any of his grandchildren it.

Jasmine's eyes landed upon her eldest granddaughter—and immediately, she could tell something about the girl had changed. Well, that was bound to happen when going on a Pokémon journey!

"My, look how grown up my grandbaby looks!" Jasmine squealed, clasping a red-faced Violet in her arms when the girl had placed her brother on the floor. "That journey has done you the world of good!" She kissed the girl on her forehead. "I missed you so much, sweetie. This house is too quiet without you, even with your siblings running around and causing chaos."

"G...Grandma..." Violet said, blushing wildly. "T-Thanks."

Misty nodded her head, as she agreed with her mother comments about the Pokemon journey. "I'm going place a little guess that she will be able to face off with one of us for her cascade badge in the near future. Right sweetie?" She made the statement on why Violet came home to visit.
