Maxces stopped powering up completely with his head down. There were parts Sonic was right at. He wasn't strong enough to best Nappa and Vegeta, and when he did take a Senzu at near death, he didn't get any stronger. He was nothing in everyone's eyes. He was the weakest of the bunch, and if they found anyone stronger and much more better of a strategist and fighter, he'd be sidelined in an instant.

What has he proven to this point other than he can't keep up, that he can't get the job done, that everything he was being taught and being trained to do didn't help the slightest bit of becoming a better patrollor?

But ain't that the beauty of being a mortal? To rise above your limits and take down the tyrants? To be David when you run into Goliath. This guy will never get that feeling. Sonic may be mortal, but he will never understand the feeling of being the weaker link, of being too weak to fight against someone else stronger than you when fighting for your life or someone else's. That's part of what makes Goku who is he; part of what makes Gohan who he is, Xeno Trunks, modern day Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, every single of one of the Z-Fighetrs! Despite being outclassed, they fight for a better day! Damn this power limit, damn those Gods and Angels, and damn that Sonic!

With a might roar and a explosion of ki that could wipe out an entire city, Maxces finally transcended into a Super Saiyan. The golden hair, the green eyes, the yellow ki. Finally, he broke past the barrier he could only dream of surpassing.

Maxces recalled back to Piccolo's meditation training and tried to relax his mind. For awhile, Maxces kept the same kind of aggressive aura, but then it causally dropped as the saiyan relaxed his mind and body. His super saiyan state didn't disappear as he was fully relaxed now.

"Sonic, you're an ass. You know how to lay down the insults." Maxces said before looking to his partner with a smile, "Thanks."
