I use MSpaint, and for my real art that I do on dA, I use Photoshop 7.0 with my Bamboo Fun tablet... It's my baby, cos my baby gave it to me. I used to go on iscribble and do my art there, cos Oekaki is one of my favorite forms of art. 8D

I use GIMP, sometimes use Paint for the lineart though. I always do doodles totally in paint.

I'm using Paint tool Sai, and Corel Paint Shop Pro X, through that's a demo version so not for long. I don't have a tablet either, through I am thinking of investing in one.
My process in drawing is pencil, scan, lineart, clean up and then color it.

I really like sketching things in pencil and I can't see myself investing in software just yet as I am pretty new to drawing. I am interested in beginning to use ink to finish my pictures, though, and am wondering if there's anybody with any information/suggestions on the use of pens.

Off course redbottomboy, first I would recommend a pretty sweet pen from STABILO point 88 fine 0,4 is an orange one, is the one I use because not get blocked by the pencil and last a lot.

Second is the SAKURA id pen dual, fine – extra fine because you have two sizes of lines is a silver one with black caps is a little smelly so be careful with it

Third is the STEADLER pigment liner, here you have some choices in the size of the point a .05 would be fine, but I find those a little expensive.

Also I would recommend some gel-ink pens those are also useful because have a very dark ink and also not get blocked.

A final note, you might want to try an isograph, but I recommend only when you have some experience with the inking.

Hope you find this info useful yours:

For the most part, I use Corel Painter X for drawing, and adobe elements for editing

Only Paint Tool Sai – it makes even my drawings look smarter. A really great program. Much more better for manga pictures than Photoshop ^^' Only the coloring is a way harder, but easy to learn.
