Ellen: I'd prefer that there was some unifying theme... But how's something like this: Everyone can create a character as discussed (a club member); but when drawing each picture, they pick someone from the club, but also have the choice to "call a volunteer from the audience", designing that character as they wish. That would give the artists more freedom with the characters while still retaining the setting and theme.

I think having an unifying theme is a good idea, it'll make it look all the more like a group effort

I would like to give position 21 a go. Stocks ^^

As for characters... I had a thought. Since this is a community project, maybe we could spank the community, so each other, or our drawn respective selfs^^ We could each be spanker and spankee that way. How much we'd get spanked, or be the spanker, would of course depend on how much people will sign up for this.

Or we could be just the spankee's, and let the spanker be fictional. A character restricted solely to the artists imagination

We could also recruit spankee's. People who don't have the skill, or will to participate, but would still like to be part of the project (or just want to see themselves getting spanked^^)

It's just an idea...

Sorry to say, I don't really want to draw real people... It's a cool idea but too personal for me. If people want to base a character on themselves in some way, that's up to them.
The other part about recruiting non-artists could also work such that they can design a character, in writing or drawing, to be used in the project. Whether to use it would still be up to the artists, of course. If it's a good character, it probably would see action.

okay, if anyone has any more ideas for unifying theme beyond

- Schoolgirl aesthetic (kinda like the pic on the front page)

- the artists themselves used as characters

- one character is chosen from a pool of characters

and one I'd like to propose

- the characters used are some of the known OC's from this site; various artists can figure out amongst themselves who gets to use their characters.

and ofcourse there's always the option of

- no theme


if anyone else has any propositions, I advice them to make those soon, and I think we should make a vote on the forums so we at least can decide on this part of the project

Here, too, I'll have to say that the existing OCs are something I'd rather avoid. They may be popular, but they're also rather personal, often roleplay characters I think. I'd prefer this project to be a thing of its own. A community project, but also accessible to anyone who sees it and isn't familiar with the people behind it or AOTK's long-running characters.

And yeah, it's time to start settling on something. I'm still behind the school club theme, as schoolgirls are sort of a standard thing that mostly everyone can live with. And I'd be lying if I said I don't like them... :P

As for the characters, I liked one of the earlier suggestions of each artist creating a character for any of the others to use. I wholeheartedly agree with the schoolgirl theme!
