The Queens new servant(for cleverfox)

[Shadowlight]

"What would you like to see first? We can make it quick if you wish to join the other children." The queen stated, sighing as the sound of a horse bellowing echoed through the area.

[CleverFox]

Looking to her mistress Katya offered a small and somewhat awkward curtsy as she replied, "I will follow where you wish to lead Mistress." Her voice was quiet and she was trying to make it clear that she was not going to step out of her position. That was something she'd been taught not to do and of course the girl was somewhat on edge around the Queen right now and was thus trying to be hyper obedient.

"Well first lets go to the stable...Then we'll go see what room you want." Amara decided as she walked toward the large stables. as they neared the fence she noticed that the large black stallion that she had just bought was bloody and battered. "What the earth! You're suppose to break it for riding not almost kill the damned thing!" Amara hissed, grabbing the whip out of the mans hand and throwing it. "Get a healer here now and I won't put you in the same position as the beast!" she growled, her eyes flaring. However then she turned to Katya and sighed "Why don't you head into the stables to see the horses...While I have a adult conversation with these dimwits."

Katya once again curtsied to her mistress as the queen mentioned going to the stables and then seeing about a room, the girl curious about that but she didn't ask any questions and instead just followed the woman to the stables. She gasped softly as she saw the horse and there was something akin to a fearful look in her eyes, the girl subconsciously stepping back as the queen talked to the man that had been mistreating the horse. She remained silent and when she was told to head into the stables she nodded her head and was quick to scurry off with a softly spoken, "Yes Mistress."

the queen saw that the horse was patched up before heading into the stables to find Katya.

Katya wasn't sure what was going to happen but she wanted to make sure that she was a safe distance away from it so the girl retreated into the stables. She ended up looking at one of the horses that was there, a pretty palomino mare with a blond mane and tail. That was where she was when the Queen came to find her, the servant girl not noticing that she was being searched for because her attention was on the horse.

"You okay?" Amara asked from directly behind the girl. The queen had noticed that the child had became frightened out there when she saw the horse. "Didn't you hear me calling for you? Or did that scene scare you that bad?" her tone was softer than usual, though her eyes just as cold. "Do you like Horses Katya?"

Katya jumped when she heard the voice of her new mistress right behind her, the girl whirling around to look at her and offering her an apologetic look. "I'm sorry...I...I didn't hear you," she stammered out when asked if she had heard the Queen calling to her. The question of whether she liked horses got a slight nod from the girl since she thought that she did, not that she had much experience with them to know that for certain.

"I suppose you'll wish to learn to ride then?" The queen asked then added "Lets go look at he rest of this place then you are free to do whatever...just stay away from that black stallion that you saw beat half to death....he isn't tamed yet."

"Um...if it pleases you Mistress," Katya said in response to the question about learning to ride, the girl nodding her head when she was told to come and then issued further instructions. "Yes Mistress," she said quietly, curtsying to her again and almost falling since she wasn't quite good at that gesture as of yet though all she really needed was practice with it, the child never having really had cause to do it before now.
