In the following months Kimiko and Junpei grew closer and closer, while at first they were just friends Junpei eventually gathered his courage and asked her out on a real date. Kimiko was delighted and immediately said yes. This was her first real date and she was proud and happy to have found a boy she liked. While it might have been more puppy love then real love, it was still a source of happiness for her and she eagerly awaited the day when they were going to meet for a date. Preparing for it Kim was in the bathroom and brushed her hair, which she had let down and not wore it in a ponytail like usually. She wanted to look good and "womanly" for lack of a better term for this. She still wore jeans and ordinary clothes, though, alltough she had chosen one of her cooler shirts for this special ocassion. "Oh man, my first date! I am so excited.", she told Sho, who was probably watching her amused while she prepared for this special occasion. When she was done she said goodbye to him and Franky, who had grown quite a bit in the months since her first meeting with Junpei. Then she was off.

Sho had watched the girl getting ready for her date and had to say he was happy for her. Of course he wasn’t sure how long the love between the two of them would last, but if she was happy with Junpei for even a short amount of time, he wanted her to enjoy herself. Once the girl had left he waved her bye and closed the door behind her.

Junpei had taken a somewhat similar approach like Kim had done, wearing ordinary, her cooler clothes for the date. He had combed his hair to make it look much nicer and had even put on a watch, only for the simple purpose of looking better. Once he was ready he would leave his house and wait for Kim’s outside of hers.
“Wow, you look lovely,” he complimented as she stepped out of her home.

(Maybe go to the park for a bit, watch a movie, and have dinner?)

Well, it was better to have your heart broken than to never have loved, was it not? Alltough there was no guarantee that their sepperation would be bitter. Junpei was a nice guy, even if he turned into her Ex she might still be his friend. Kim smiled and blushed a little as the boy complimented her and ran her hand through her thick black hair thoughtfully. "Oh, thanks. You certainly look very handsome yourself!", she retorted, still smiling and then had a good idea. "Let´s go to the park!", the teen said and took Junpeis hand. They were on a date after all and holding hands seemed like a good first step.

“You’re welcome and thank you,” Junpei said as she stepped down from the steps. When his hand was placed in hers he would give it a gentle squeeze. “The park sounds good yeah, would make sense seeing as it’s where we met each other.” He then started to lead the way there, noticing the sky was still light though that’d change in a few hours.

Kim smiled when Junpei gently squeezed her hand. Walking hand in hand to the park felt good. Kimiko thought some small talk would be nice, so she started a new conversation. "Sooo, what have you been up to the last couple of days?", she asked curiously and looked at her crush, still smiling contendly.
