The Bronx Zoo was one of the biggest tourist attractions in New York. Bringing in more than $500 million dollars every year for the local economy, everyone with a stake in it was keen to keep that number up.

Tourists visited for many reasons: to spend the day sightseeing, finding an excuse to dine on the exquisite street foods of the city, the chance to learn something new, but above all else, the magnificence of the animals on display at The Bronx kept them coming back. Recognizing this early on, the zoo director in conjunction with the mayor had quickly set up strict guidelines for all animals to have to adhere to. None could read of course and so they were slowly and kindly trained in proper behavior and taught how to put on a show.

Tom McGrath, an experienced animal trainer was put in charge of all those in the zoo. His job was simple: Reward those animals that obey and spank those who jeopardize the monetary potential of the zoo.

It was on a day like any other, whilst on his usual patrol, that he noticed a commotion at the wild dog exhibit...

The dogs had jumped over the fence to their enclosure.

They were tame enough not to attack any of the visitors, but rowdy enough to cause a bit of a panic among the crowd, causing heaps of people to run away.

Tom ran over with a groan. This was a common issue with the five wild dogs the zoo owned and he intended on dealing with it once and for all.

Tom put a choke pole around the Alpha's neck.

That got all of their attention. When it became apparent of the trouble they were in, three of the youngest fled back to their enclosure, only one staying behind. The Alpha, embarrassed by the treatment put up more of a fight.

But John pulled the Alpha back to the enclosure.

In no time, it was forced back into the enclosure. Tom left only briefly to retrieve the one that had stayed behind, first giving it a warning and then dragging the young dog by it's ear when it refused to obey.

John then sat down on the ground of the enclosure and hauled the Alpha over his lap.
