"Oh of course I wouldn't want to fight her, they're an open field just down the path. Oh but one last thing" he stands before her mother's grave once more and bows. "I'll be going now, Mrs Rose. I promise I won't be too rough on your daughter." he said then took her hand. "Come on."

He lead her to the open field. Taking in a deep breath. "Perfect spot." he takes out his scroll and accesses a dueling app. A computerized voice announces. "Initiating dueling mode. Scanning Combatants. Scan completely. Aura Levels displayed. Initiate Countdown when ready."

"You ready Ruby!?" he asked.

Ruby took a few deep breaths before nodding 'ready!' She told him and got ready for their duel, even though a stranger, she felt he wasn't totally strange if he knew her mother.

OOC: I've decided to continue the RP and just make it an alternate story.

He takes out his scroll and sets it to monitor their aura levels then placed it on a rock. "Okay, bring it on! Oh, and let's make it interesting. The loser will have to receive a punishment of the victor's choosing." he smirked before squatting close to the ground. He then leaps up high into the sky then as he falls down upon Ruby he points his lance down at her, firing several shots along the way. If she doesn't dodge he strikes with a strong piercing strike.

Ruby nodded at the terms 'I'll accept those terms.' She said and gasped as he suddenly leapt. She took the chance to backstab to avoid the bullets and then leapt to the side to avoid the piercing strike coming from him, but she also swung her scythe around as she did so she could attempt to strike him.

As her scythe came around he turned his back on her then performed a backflip over her then swerved around and performed a flurry of acrobatic thrusts, swipes, and slashes at her. He clearly proved to be very well trained with his lance.

She wasn't fully expecting that and had a few hits strike, but she managed to avoid some and swing around in an attempt to gain the upper hand against him.

He avoids her first swing then trades blows with here in almost choreographed fighting. After a flurry of parries, dodges and reposts, he manages to get close and jabbed his lance between her feet. With one swift swipe he trips her up, causing her to lose her foot.

She gasped and stumbled a bit before fall flat on her butt and groaning trying to get up
