"In case you haven't noticed I'm not exactly normal," Rafe said when Matthew pointed out the fact that he'd gotten it. "And in my experience if you use big words people just look at you with that glazed 'I don't know what the fuck you just said' look or else they think you're pretentious and think you're better than them...which don't get me wrong, largely I do think that but my point stands."

" I don't want you cursing. You are better than that so prove it by not doing it. If I hear you use swear words at school I'll give you a spanking at bed time. Every single time. and then I'll wash you mouth out. That's that. How's that sound?" Matthew explained then asked laying it out flat and drawing a hard line in the sand now~

"Honestly it sounds fucking terrible..." Rafe said when Matthew asked that question. "Also...there's a loophole here that I am going to exploit. Because you said, and I quote, 'If I HEAR you use swear words at school'...which you won't, because you won't be there. What you did not say was if I hear OF you using swear words at school."

"Rafe... you know exactly what I mean and exactly what I meant. I will punish you if you curse and I find out about it. But it seems you're anxious to learn what soap tastes like..." Matthew stated. " And we were doing so well today~ "

"That's not what you said though," Rafe felt the need to point out when Matthew stated that he knew what the man had meant. As far as he was concerned that was beside the point. He frowned slightly when Matthew said that he was anxious to find out what soap tasted like. "No I'm not...and you said school, which this isn't..."

"And what exactly did I say about cussing when we first met? Point is I don't like it so knock it off least i change my mind about how lenient I've been with it. " Matthew warned. "Kiss your curse words good bye Rafe. "

"I don't get why this is such a fu-...such a big issue," the small teenager said in a slightly irritated voice. "You haven't said anything about it since that first day so clearly it didn't bother you that much. Why's it now such a big deal?"

Matthew moved to tap Rafe on the tip of the nose. " Cause I care about you and I want you to grow up to be a good little gentleman. " Matthew stated gently so. " Isn't that reason enough?"

"...I don't think people really act like that anymore," Rafe said when Matthew said that he wanted him to grow up to be a gentleman. The bit about Matthew caring for him did actually make him feel good but it didn't really do much for the confusion over this whole aversion to words. Because he had meant what he said and to him they were all the same.

"Sure they do... You just have to know where to look. " Matthew offered gently but took note of how quiet Rafe git. " Shall we pick up where we left off?" He asked gesturing the chess board.
