It's often very tempting, but in the end, I just can't bring myself to it. It would take away from the whole art of it - and you need a second person to do that. Of course, every partner I've had, I've talked him into it, but all three have just...not really taken on the role either. So if they can't really make it exciting, then I doubt I could alone. ^^;

I mean, not to go into a lengthy post to discuss it, but part of the whole reason I love it, is the gut feeling that you're really in for it. You know you've done something wrong, and you'll be punished. It's just that sinking feeling, and then...when you're actually spanked, it's supposed to be more exhilirating than just...a few hits. At least, that's what I always loved about it. My partners never really understood that in the past. Yeah, the problem with self spanking is that it only covers a fraction of what makes a spanking fun. Sure the pain is one aspect, but with real spankings there is a dominant/submissive aspect where the spankie surrenders control to the spanker. There is a connection, a trust, and a powerlessness that cannot be achived through self spanking. Plus, most people cannot spank themselves as hard as or as long as they would like to just because its hard to hurt yourself.
