Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:

Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Thank you everyone for the bug reports! I think I have fixed them all except the third one that Arnal mentioned, I can't figure out how to trigger that event from the side... I'll look more tomorrow.
I've uploaded a new version so please try it

Keep them bugs coming, gotta catch them all

Concerning the third one, keep in mind that event with action button can be triggered across an X tile. Basically, if player stand against a table (or any X tile), with an event two tiles in front of you, and press "action", the event triggers same as if you were standing right next to it. Now, there might be an option to remove that rule, but I am not aware of it.


So, in our case, you put the event to interact with the shopkeeper ON the counter, at coordinate [7;5]. But because [8;5] is also an X tile and [9;5] is not, you can trigger that event from two different places: [7;6] (1step down) and [9;5] ( also [7;4], but you can't access it when the shopkeeper is here)

After gaining my powers and getting kidnapped by the dark mage, I wake up in a cell: I can not move from my bed, no object seems to be useful, and nothing happens no matter how long I wait. There are also several easy to bypass bugs based on character movement:


 
When invoking Bidissima with the rope, the player is supposed to move one tile away. If the player is located down fomr the statue instead of right or left, the X tile (crate) behind her forbid her from making that move, thus freezing the game. making the movement optional, or making the movement different depending on the direction the character is facing, would solve that problem



 
in the same way, when triggering the "Gaston get canedby his wife" chain of event, if the player triggerd the event from left rather than down, when the two disappears downstairs and the player go to eardrop, the path is not correct, lock her against a Xtile and freezes the game again
Thank you, that was very helpful It should all be fixed now. Thanks to this I learned I can create a conditional branch based on the direction the player is facing

Guess I'm stuck after book delivering and Kaeli disappearance from Inn. Looked at every point of open locations, still didn't find the way to go on..

Hey, this is pretty cool! Good job!

I have a few recommendations for some quality of life fixes you can do if you want to!

1. When transferring the player from one area to another, place them next to the exit transfer, not on top of. I had a few instances where I would go back and fourth between maps on accident because I would exit an area, then move left in the new one onto a transfer back.
2. Consider shrinking maps that are unnecessarily large, and removing clutter from busier maps. Too much visual noise can make a player feel like they need to check every object in a room in case they missed something, and smaller maps will feel cozier than bigger ones.
3. Having the healing amulet only step up the bottom state by one was a little bit frustrating. I always found myself using it several times in a row and having to go through the menu each time for that. Maybe a set of choices for how long you hold the amulet to your butt would alleviate this?
4. Allow us to skip the intro crawl. Some players, no matter how much you wish it weren't so, will not care about your story and just want to get into the game. Also, starting the game off with something so slow immediately kills the pace and causes a dip in player interest.

Great job so far, looking forward to seeing more of your work!
