It must have been a holiday in the mountains to meet the brother of mum's new partner and his family. Instead, due to a work emergency, Mom and her new partner had to leave, leaving the poor daughter (or poor son) with strangers accustomed to domestic discipline.

It is always bad when a story ends, but when the recriminations and blame are too many, it often ends with one of the two being spanked, so there is nothing left to recover, if not that last satisfaction.
