Dick looked a little uncomfortable with the way Alfred looked at him, he knew this wasn't going to turn out well for him. He sighed as he got the same old lecture on how important his schooling was over everything else even if he didn't care about it. He hated this lecture because Bruce had someone at work to help him so he could be Batman, why couldn't he do that with Robin?

He was about to say something about how he thought this was unfair again when he heard Alfred's threat. His eyes went a little wide at that, he hated the ruler almost over anything else. He groaned and went back to work, it was obvious he didn't want to but he did nonetheless.

Hal, of course, was no longer buying the excuse that he just wanted to eat. All the signs that he was extremely drunk were just too obvious to ignore now that he noticed them. He was not going to put up with this kid drinking underage on his watch, no way no how. He frowned when the boy tried to play it up like it was nothing, "Well let's see, you could have very easily gotten any alcohol from your father's stash. And considering I saw you running in here shortly before I knocked, you obviously were not in here the entire time."

He narrowed his eyes at the young teen, not putting up with the lying and deception any longer, "I'm going to give you one more chance to be honest with me Roy - did you or did you not drink?"

Alfred huffed soundly and turned to busy himself with other matters the boy worked, honestly Dick's new acquired attitude was quickly becoming something he would need to nip in the bud before it got him in trouble with someone who wouldn't just spank his naughty bottom. He also disliked the stress it likely put on his surrogate son.

After some time passed he turned to find the cookies complete gone and Dick pouting over his school work. "Alright you man, I expect to find some improvement." He held out a gloved to receive the paperwork, he was not going to tolerate anymore of Dick's foolish little game. How it made sense to simply not do the work escaped him.

Roy expression turned sour rather quickly. He felt a more defensive side was coming out. "What a-are you like spying on me or something. Seems like you don't trust me Hal." Roy countered grimly thought inside he could feel his resolve wavering some along with ability to stand up correctly. He was either going to need to get some food or to bed because he wasn't sure how much more of this he could take.

Roy stomped in place and looked around and spied not easy escape, he seemingly looked at a Green Arrow poster on the wall when he finally did speak up to Hal with looking up at all. "I didn't have any booze Hal, I'm just tired and hungry. So can ya' move to I can get something to fuckin' eat." Roy bitterly said in as steady of a voice he could muster.

Dick had never been a really normal kid, but what he was going through right now was quite normal. He was growing up and he thought he knew best, so he was trying to act like he did. He still needed someone to prove to him that that wasn't the case, and he was still very much the child he still appeared to be. Bruce was trying his best to nip it in the butt when he could, but there was only so much he could do if he didn't know how bad it was.

The boy actually started doing his work, but took his sweet time doing it. He was really bored with this and didn't want to rush through it, so when Alfred came to look it over Dick just shrugged, "It's not done yet," He said.

Hal wasn't pleased with the attitude Roy was giving him, and he was only going to make it worse on himself. He frowned when he asked about spying on him, "No, I'm not spying on you. I heard something break and when I was coming up the stairs, I saw you running into your room," He explained easily.

He waited to see if he would do what was right, to just admit he had the drink so they could deal with it. But by what he said next, he knew that was not the case. He took the boy by the upper arm, pulling him forward before landing three firm swats to his rear end, "Have it your way then, kid."

Alfred simply sighed. "I see, well I suppose I cannot fault you for taking your time. I much prefer that to you rushing through so brazenly." Alfred absently mind ran his hand over Dick's hair. "I hope you know I'm not doing this to be cruel to you, I simply hate seeing you waste your large intellect." Alfred to the small teenager.

"Once you finish bring your paper to me in the kitchen, I'll be preparing dinner. After I check your work you are free to enjoy the lovely weather." Alfred said squeezing Dick's shoulder before going to the kitchen to start their meal since it would take a few hours to fully cook. He hoped Dick would come away from the rudeness, he wanted to enjoy the company of the very often cheerful boy. He knew the teenage years were a struggle, but that was no excuse for naughtiness.

Roy made have been able to put up against the currently powered down Green Lantern on a good day, but lacking sobriety and suprised. He could barely even utter a sound before pain exploding all over his. "OW OW OW HEY! WHAT W-WAS THE FOR!" Roy screamed. Sure Roy was not stranger to getting a spanking, but he'd not taken that step in his relationship with Hal yet and hoped he'd never have to.

"Lemme go!" Roy pulled but from the first pull he felt winded and nervousness shot through as he realized how much of strength was gone. He was starting to think that afternoon scotch really wasn't worth all of this."Hal please come one, I swear I didn't have any booze and even if I didn't what it matter ? I'm p-perfectly-" Roy hiccuped and groaned."f-fine." he muttered.

When Dick actually did his work properly, it took him a decent amount of time because he was a bit of a perfectionist. It wasn't that big of a surprise then when Alfred came over and he wasn't done compared to the first time. It's one of the reasons he hates doing homework, it takes too long for him. He looked up a little when he felt the man's hand go through his hair but said nothing, it was better them him smoothing it out.

"Yeah, sure thing Alfred," He said when given his instruction. The idea of just being able to get out of here really made him want to hurry up. And he did slightly, but not all that much because he wanted to do it right (or, at least he thought he was).

Once he was done he went into the kitchen and handed it to Alfred, "Here you go."

Hal had watched Roy a few times in the past, but he had never punished the young teen because he saw no reason too. But this time it went too far for him, and he had to do something. He had Ollie's permission and everything, so he knew it would be no problem in the end, "You know exactly what I'm doing, young man," He said firmly when he complained.

He knew Roy was probably really drunk because normally he would have been able to pull out of his grip. But now it was nothing, he would have to be barely holding his arm for him to get out, "Well if you didn't drink then explain why you are talking with such a slur, can barely stand up right, and you can't get out of my hold," He said.

Alfred was busying himself working on dinner, mind wandering over what remained to be done for the day and how he planned to entertain the little bird left in care for the duration of Bruce's trip. His own ward often spoiled the boy since he was a tot. Than again he could blame them.

When he saw Dick appear out of the corner of his eye he wordlessly took the paperwork. Scanning the assignment througly he did notice a significant improvement. Still rushed in places, but well enough and not work starting a fuss over. " Alright Master Dick, this time it will do. Yoy are free to go about business. If you still plan on going outside remain where I can see you young man."

Roy ceased struggling when it became clear that brawn was not going ro have much of an effect here. He glared up at Hal as best he coule with his drooping eyes. "Well stop what y-you're doing! It fucking hurts Hal!" Roy tried to shout despite it coming out more like whine at the moment.

"I um" Roy's was going a mile a minute trying to come uo with a solution for this."I'm g-getting sick, there is like some kinda bug going around at school." Roy tried once more. Hal couldn't disprove that! He'd got him there! "Also I'm only 15 and you're like 50! You're w-way stronger than me!" He countered

Dick didn't too much longer to do his work, he took his time in the beginning but towards the end, he got bored so he started to rush again. Overall it wasn't too bad but the last few problems he probably could have done a little better, but the fact he took his time on any of them was a win when it came to Dick. The only work he really took his time on was anything athletic or doing with being Robin.

He stood around as he waited for Alfred to check it over, hoping he wouldn't say do it over again. He grinned when he said it was OK, "Great, thanks Al!" He said and immediately ran outside. Just standing outside felt good, but after some time he started to climb the old oak trees.

Hal rolled his eyes when Roy complained about getting swatted, he knew he had dealt with worse when Ollie was home so he knew it wasn't that big a deal. He was just in a mood and not hiding it so well, "It's supposed to hurt some, you know that," He said very matter-of-factly. He wasn't doing it to be nice after all.

He frowned some when Roy said that something was going around and that's why he didn't feel good. He knew he couldn't disprove that, but still, "Then why do you reek of alcohol?" He questioned again. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes again when he called him 50, "You've gotten out of my holds before no problem. And aren't you the first one to say I'm weak without my ring?"

Alfred watched the Dick bolt away before he could even replay. The energy contained in such in a tiny body astounded him sometimes. Bruce had been a far more subdued child growing up. In some ways helping raise Dick was an entirely new experience for him. After he finished dinner perorations. He cleaned away Dick's dishes and straightened the table.

After the length of about an hour it was time for dinner and Alfred hoped the little teen had gotten some of the energy off his chest, it would making getting him down for bed far easier. Walking outside into the afternoon light he began scanning the manor grounds and noticed he'd been disobeyed once more. "Richard Wayne Grayson!" He yelled loud enough to echo across the massive front yard and began to move forward to look for the naughty rascal.

"I'm too old to get span-span-that done to me!" Roy whined in protest which served as a direct contradiction to his statement. "Kids don't get that anymore and especially not teenage heroes!" Roy shouted as if Hal was completely out of his mind. He let himself fall to the floor in an attempt to dead weight Hal from swatting him anymore.

Roy glared up at Hal." I borrowed Ollie's c-colonge and you're holding me t-tighter than usual. You're probably going to break my fucking arm had this rate, you jerk!" Roy dramatically whined in an effort to sway Hal from further punishment. He was sitting completely limp on the floor. He was not going to let Hal punish him like some kind of brat!

Dick had always had a ton of energy, he thought it was the reason he made such a great acrobat and a great Robin too. He could bounce around all day without getting really tired out, and he would if people would let him. It was really cute when he was little because he got Bruce to chase him around the house just to find him.

He was playing up in the trees, practicing like he was going from rooftop to rooftop, but also just goofing around. He didn't realize he was hidden by the leafs until he heard Alfred call out. He hooked his knees on a branch and dropped down so he was hanging upside, "Yeah, Alfred?" He questioned.

Hal scoffed some when Roy said he was too old to be spanked, "I'm sure Ollie has told you that is just not true. And I have permission to punish you, however, I see fit," He explained. He decided to leave out the fact his behavior right now proved he wasn't too old yet, wasn't worth it and wouldn't help at all right now.

He rose a brow when Roy said he just took some of Ollie's cologne, he didn't buy it, "Did you drink it, because the smell if coming from your breath," He explained. He looked down at the boy when he was being so over dramatic, "Kid I'm barely holding your arm, and it's not going to break. Now just tell me if you drank or not so I know how to deal with this before you get sick."

If not for the fact he had been in service to the Dark Knight he would have been shocked by Dick's sudden outburst from the tree. Instead he simply put his hand on his hips and glared at the upside boy. "Master Dick you get down from there this instant before you dirty yourself even more." Alfred scolded .

"Master Dick I had one request of you when you went out to play and that was to not wander from where I could easily find you. Not only did you disobey that but you also were completely out of sight. What if you had fallen and hurt yourself young man ?" Alfred asked rhetorically of the young man."You march yourself back to the manor right this instant before I cut a switch for young sir."

"Well just because you can doesn't mean you should!" Roy whined before another hiccup escaped his mouth before feeling his stomach groaned painfully. "B-besides whenever I've had booze before I can totally handle it, I'm not fucking lightweight!" Roy shouted by at his Uncle.

"Fine fine! I had some of Ollie's booze! He's let me have some before and I-I wanted some scotch!" Roy shouted before groaning kneeling over slightly in pain. "Hal I don't feel so good. "Roy said far more serious sounding this time. He winced and is struggled ceased against the older heroes' grip.
