Son of the devil (for rahl)

It was late and the sunset was already over as Xaverius walked home from hunting. He knew he would be late, but damn the deer that he hunted were worth it. He thought so at least. He didn't got it and so he knew that he had to have a really good Apology for his father, who told him to be at home in time.

Xaverius sighed. This wouldn't be easy. His father wasn't the patient type of man, maybe because he was what humans call 'the devil'. He could be really cruel and the boy knew that, but with 15 year old boy's sometimes don't know where to stop to stay out of trouble.

And so Xaverius walked home, slowly, hoping to postpone his punishment that he surely would get, and because he thought that it wouldn't matter how late he would come home when he was already late. The boy stretched and yawned, then decided to hurry up a bit so he could go to sleep as soon as possible.

Malphas was not, by any account, a patient or reasonable devil. And he did not have to be. He was the Great Ambassador of Hell, with forty legions of lesser demons at his command...or at least he used to be.
As the demon looked on to the sunset, he sighed. Lucifer had been making changes in Hell lately that upset a lot of its residents. With the situation the way it was, Malphas had decided to move at least himself and part of his family out of Hell into a different Plane until things cooled over.

While on the Earthly Plane, Malphas decided to do something he had not done in several centuries: he let one of his offspring grow into a full-fledged demon. He usually let his own just be crows who will mindlessly follow his command even to death; but the change of air made him let one be different on a whim.

The one who got lucky enough to develop as an individual was Xaverius.

Xaverius decided to sneak in. He was sure his father would notice it anyway but it was worth a try, wasn't it?

Silently and slowly, he started to walk to his room. He noticed that his body really needed some rest and was willing to give it to him as soon as possible.

As he finally reached his room, he sighed in relief and opened the door.

Suddenly there was the sound of thousands of flapping wings converging into one space. A thousand crows materialized in the room, all flying towards the same spot in a blur of beaks and black feathers. Out of this black mass appeared Malphas, a sour expression on his on his grey skin.
"Didn't I tell you not to come late?"
He asked flatly.

Xaverius winced. Damn, he should have thought of that. "Uh, hey dad, I uh...yes but...uhm...", he started a bit unsure what to tell. He didn't think about a good reason why he came home, he thought he had time for that until the next morning, but it looked like he was wrong.

Malphas looked at his spawn, more annoyed than stern. He was good at disciplining the damned in Hell, but his own offspring were rather different. He needed them to have a sturdy disposition and an aggressive attitude if they wanted to survive at all.

"I am still waiting for a answer, Xaverius."

The boy sighed and simply answered: "I went hunting"
