Espio's eyes narrowed."When the boss betrays the trust of all the group,hiding such information for their teammates even if it means losing a teammate,that's the only option!!" he growled as he got up.

OOC: How do I do that?

"I only did that so you guys could stay alive! That information was with held to me and only me because it's too dangerous to let lose to anyone! Everyone else who knew about that file when I was a military cadet is dead! They're all dead! I wasn't about to tell it to you guys because I knew if I did you'd guys would end up dead too!" Vector shouted.

"But we wouldn't have told anyone!" Charmy shouted.

"It doesn't matter! Some of the people who didn't tell anyone still ended up dead. Some even believe a curse was put on it to keep people from telling anyone else. For me seeing a whole military platoon die without any explaination whatsoever was enough for me. Why I'm not dead I still can't figure out. That's why I didn't tell you! I'd rather lose a teammate then see them die because of me!" Vector shouted at Espio back.

"Well,guess what?You lost a teammate anyway.Helping Charmy to stay here was my last favor,for his hapiness and for old time's sake.I'm quitting the Chaotix." Espio said,seriously.

Vector stood there for a bit then let Espio's words sink in. "Fine. I see how it is. I knew eventually that this file would come back into my life and screw things up again. But I'm glad that the worst didn't happen... you may be quitting but you're still alive. That's all that matters." From the sound of Vector's voice it seemed like he was hiding his emotions.

"WHAT! N-NO! ESPIO! YOU CAN'T GO! PLEASE DON'T GO!" Charmy flew over and grabbed Espio's arm. "Please... d-don't leave..." He started to tear up.

Vector just stood there with his arms crossed.

"I may one day forgive...but I'll never forget what happened.After all what we came through,you didn't trust us enough to tell something like this,Vector.There can't be a team without trust,at least not to me." Espio said to Vector,them gave Charmy a small silver triangle."Keep it.It's a ninja lucky charm...and my energy is connected to it.If you focus on my energy like in the training,you will always know where I am.But I can't live here anymore,not after this." he said,a bit gently,them went to his former room to start packing his things.

"E-Espio..." Charmy let his tear drop on the small triangle. Charmy then turned to face Vector. "Why... why are you letting him go..."

"He's old enough to make decisions for himself... I'm not gonna stop him."

"Just tell him about that file's weird curse! You said there was a curse!"

"That's just a rumor."

"But you said it yourself! You said it's weird that your entire platoon died suddenly wih no appearent reason! Were they shot or attacked?"

"No... they all just... died... like they had come down with an instant deadly sickness or something... but for some reason I'm the only one who lived..."

"Then go tell him!"

"No... he wouldn't care."

"He might! Just talk to him!"

"If the matter could be resolved by talking it wouldn't have come to this. Just let him go. There wasn't anything I could do but keep the file a secret from everyone in order to protect their lives. Now that it's gone I don't know what'll happen but apparently things will just keep getting worse..."

"... It will... How do you know?"

"Espio's leaving isn't he?"

Espio finished packing his things,them stared for a few moments on a picture of himself,Vector,and Charmy.(But after this,the old days are gone...I must meditate on what happened.And on what'll I do.Should I return to my homeland for more training?Or try to do like Sonic and fight evil on my own?) he thought,before going to the door,without looking back,as he didn't want to let his emotions flow.

Charmy couldn't watch this anymore. He flew to his room and cried. Vector just sat at his desk and started to finish up the paperwork. Tommorow was the day he would meet with Saleon and if he didn't take her compromise right then Charmy would be taken to... and he'd be alone. Vector stopped working and just slumped in his chair. "As long as they stay alive... that's all that matters..."

Meanwhile Tails lied over Sonic's lap getting his butt rubbed with cold cream afte Knuckles' spanking. He was thinking about how lately all the things he's done while trying to help resulted in spankings.

"Maybe I'm doing more harm then good..." Tails mumbled.

"What's that?" Sonic asked not hearing him.

"Oh... it's nothing...

Dr. Eggman slept silently in his chair when 10 beeps went off at the same time. It scared the doctor out of his chair but he quickly got up to answer them all. "WHAT!?"

"Tommorow doctor! The future's control will be ours tommorow! Do you know the plan?"

"Yes! For the last time I know the freakin plan! Now stop calling me!"

Rouge walked into Knuckles room and saw him sitting on his bed. "Hey there Knuckie.

"Hey,Rouge.Finnaly managed to fix up the Emerald again." he said.

Espio went away.

"Yeah I knew you would've... " She sat next to Knuckles suddenly feeling warm. "Hey... you don't mind if I sleep here tonight do you?" She asked.

Akra and Kreg sat awake in Shadow's room.

Tails sat on his bed feeling very useless. He almost let all those people die when Eggman first attacked. He kept questioning Sonic when they battled five even though he had it covered. And now he had broken off pieces of the Master Emerald.

"... I'm just an accident waiting to happen..." Tails sighed.

The president sat in his office as the moom shown outside. Saleon entered with a clipboard in her hand.

"Mister President! Everything has been set up for tommorow night's meeting with Vector. Now all we need to do is..."

"If it's something basic please take care of it. I'm suddenly not in the mood."
