Knuckles blushed but smiled as he said,"Of course you can sleep here."

Rouge scooted closer to Knuckles and snuggled next to him. "This has been pretty amazing hasn't it?" She asked.

"Hey Kreg... did you ever get the feeling that something bad was going to happen soon..." Akra asked.

"... Yeah... sometimes... why?"

"... No reason."

Sonic walked into Tails room and gave the fox a glass of milk. "You okay buddy. You look kinda sad."

"... I'm...I'm just confused... I guess I'm just feeling a little... useless and weak... I've felt like that daily though... sometimes to the point where I..." Tails stopped talking feeling as though he was telling Sonic too much.

"Something wrong Mister President. Do you want to re-schedule or something? You can tell me." Saleon said.

"No... it's just... that feeling I had when the Black Arms invaded... it's been slowly creeping back... I'm going to bed." The president got up and left his office for the night.

"Yeah.There was a lot of changes." Knuckles said.

It was night time already.

(Darn...I need to find a place to pass the night.) Espio thought.

"I'm worried about Omega though... " Rouge said admitting what was on her mind throughout the whole day. Kero was currently still working on Omega.

"Tell me what's on your mind Tails." Sonic said as he sat next to his troubled friend.

"I... I... it's nothing... really... I'm... I'm..." Tails started to tear up. Sonic pulled his buddy close with one arm and tried to shh him calmly.

"I feel so useless sometimes... I always wonder what it would've been like if you had never met me... things would probably be better..." Tails said letting a few tears go.

"You know that isn't true... Despite how it may have looked when we first met I didn't have a single friend in the world until I met you." Sonic admitted.

"... Even so... I still feel useless now..."

"Well..don't get mad at me for saying this,but while Omega can be your friend and Shadow's,the fact remains that he is always on the risk of someone repprograming him like today.You guys hould try to instal some sort of protection against more tampering with his circuits." Knuckles said.

"You know we just assumed someone re-installed something in his circuits... what if... he really was trying to..." Rouge just stopped.

Sonic started to worry. "How exactly useless have you felt?" Sonic asked.

"... Well... It's gotten to the point where.... I ummm..."

"Do you think about it too much. I've heard you crying yourself to sleep almost every night."

"...."

"How long have you been feeling this way?"

"... Maybe a few weeks... months maybe..."

"Hmm?What do you mean?" Knuckles asked.

"Maybe he really was trying to do what he did... on purpose... without anyone re-wiring him... I know it's an awful thought but..." Rouge sighed.

"You've been hurting this long and you didn't tell me? Tails, you can't do that. It'll only cause you to stress out more and more. I don't want to wake up one day and find out that my little bro no longer wanted to live." Sonic said.

"On purpose?A friend wouldn't do that." Knuckles said.

"Yeah I know... maybe I'm just worrying... which isn't like me at all. I think I need some sleep." Rouge said.

"I'm sorry... I guess I'm just stressing too much." Tails said as he got under the covers.

"Do you want me to stay with you tonight?" Sonic said.

"... N-No I'm fine..."

"Are you sure?"

"... I promise..." Tails said. Sonic nodded and left Tails alone in his room.

Big the Cat sat at the edge of a lake sleeping with his fishing pole in the lake and Froggy on his head. He soon was woken up by small steps coming from behind. He turned around and saw a purple chameleon walking in the distance.
