Michelle peaked her head around the corner as she heard Tails coming back, he had something hidden behide his back, the very curious little girl ran over and hopped up and down infront of him "ooh oh oh is that for me? oh oh what is it Tails?" she asked almost ready to pop. Tails revealed his gift and Michelle squealed, it was a pair of special rollerskates and thanks to Tails design were fast and able to ride on any surface especially since there was lots and lots of grass and sand by her house "Oooh are these for me? there beautiful Tails thank you thank you thank you" she cheered giving the fox a kiss on the cheek, Tails then explained he would teach her how to ride them today if she wanted "Oh would you? that would be great who know's maybe now I will be able to keep up with Sonic with these" she giggled hugging her gift.

Soon, they arrived back at the same park the two had been in not long ago. There was a skateboarding park next to it, with plenty of soft surfaces for practising.

"I'll need to go and get some helmets and protectors," said Tails, "I'll be right back."

The rest of the park was relatively empty. The occasional couple walked past, kissing, a few squirrels (normal ones) scuttered around.....and there, sitting on the same tree stump Sonic and Amy had used to give Michelle her double-spanked, was Shadow.

As they arrived at the park and then to the skateboard section Michelle was relieved that the park was pretty empty she had never ridden on skates before and she knew she would probably fall a few times and if there was anything she didn't like it was being laughed at. She watched as Tails walked down the path to go get them some helmets pads, while she waited Michelle skipped along with her skates in her hands, as he arrived at a good hill to practice she was shocked to see a fimilar face.... it was Shadow. She wasn't sure if she would try and take to him but she couldn't help but be curious "Excuse me S...Shadow"

Shadow looked up slightly.

"Oh, it's you again," he huffed, "Look, about earlier.....don't think I'm going to save you on every occasion."

He didn't seem any friendlier than when he first met Michelle.

Michelle put on a slight pouty face when Shadow told her not to except him to save her everytime "well I didn't think you would help me this time Shadow" she said walking towards him "By the way you didn't exactly answer me last time so I will ask again why did you help me before and this time? It's not adults care if they see a kid getting spanked most of them seem to think it's funny" she said blushing thinking of one time along time ago with her real parents when her father spanked her at the park all the passerbys seem to enjoy watching it.

"Were it anyone else, I wouldn't care less," he huffed, "It's just......."

He paused. There seemed to be a small tone of sadness in his voice.

"It's just you remind me of her."

Michelle started to pout when Shadow said he couldn't care less 'So he is like everyother adult', however she then noticed the his pause and look of sadness in his eyes and in his voice, "Remind you of someone?" she then came closer "who? who do I remind me of?"

Shadow sighed.

"Long ago, I used to live on an old space station, called A.R.K." he explained, "I was created by Dr Gerald Robotnik, the grandfather of Dr Eggman. I was designed as the Ultimate Life Form. He was a good person.....but my real friend was his granddaughter, Maria. We often used to sit by the observation window, wondering what life was really like on Earth."

Michelle sat infront of Shadow as he actually began telling her about his past, she was alittle shocked and surprised when he mentioned the names Robotnik and Eggman from what Sonic told her Dr. Eggman was bad did that mean Dr.Robotnik was aswell? Michelle was also amazing hearing Shadow was made in space she wondered what it must have been like "so w...what happened to Maria?" Michelle asked concerned as she looked at Shadow's sad expression.

Shadow the Hedgehog was in the middle of looking out of the viewing area of the space colony A.R.K., looking down at Earth as he usually did. He then heard footsteps from behind him, and saw his lifelong friend approaching.
