"Ok a flashlight" Michelle said kneeling looking into the bag Rouge gave her, "Ah here it is" she handed Rouge the flashlight and while trying to stay away from the machine still couldn't help but be curious of what Rouge was looking for in there.

[Crash-Bash]

"Thank you," said Rouge, and she began to investigate.

Several minutes passed. Rouge continued to look around, and Michelle would frequently pass her tools to help her.

At long last, she came out for the final time.

"Well, that's just great," she sighed, "Nothing."

Michelle sighed too when Rouge said she wasn't able to find anything in the machine "Aw and I was hoping there was something in there atleast after what this stupid machine did to me" she cringed thinking of Dr.Eggman again "I guess I wasn't any help to you or G.U.N was I?" she asked sadly.

[Crash-Bash]

"Hey, no worries, kid," said Rouge, "You were still kind enough to help me out, and that's all that matters. Well, gotta fly. Seeya around, sweetheart."

She flew away, taking her bag of tricks with her.

Michelle smiled it made her feel alittle better, she stood up and waved good bye to Rouge as she took her bag and flew away. Once Rouge was out of sight Michelle turned around and realised how far way from the house she actually was she couldn't see it at all, she then ran off back towards the house hoping Amy hadn't come to check on her yet.

[Crash-Bash]

As she approached the house, Michelle could hear two voices.

"I've looked everywhere I thought she'd go," Sonic's voice could be heard to say, "And double checked. But I'm afraid I can't find her. She's not with Tails, or Cream, or even with Shadow."

"Oh Sonic," sobbed the voice of Amy, "If she's been captured by Eggman again, I'll never forgive myself. Where could she be?"

As Michelle arrived near the house she heard Sonic and Amy's voices and they both sounded very concerned, and even worse she could hear that Amy was crying 'Oh no' Michelle thought 'they were looking for me' she came over the last hill and came into view she wasn't sure how to go about this if she acted like it wasn't a big deal they maybe upset if she told the truth they still might get upset since Amy doesn't care for Rouge at all, she gulped and crossed her hands behind her back "H...Here I am" she looked at the two hedgehogs and waited to see their responses before she said or did anything else.

[Crash-Bash]

The two hedgehogs saw Michelle and gasped. But not for long.

"MICHELLE!!" Amy couldn't restrain herself any longer. She ran over and gave her adopted daughter a great big hug, tears still flowing. Sonic took Michelle's hand and rubbed it against him, breathing a huge sigh of relief.

But then Amy turned serious.

"Where or earth WERE you, young lady?" she exclaimed, "Sonic and I thought Eggman had got you...I was worried sick about you!"

Michelle let out a sigh of relief as she was given a big hug from her adoptive mother and father she was sorry she made them worry but it was nice to see how much they cared for her. However not long after that sigh of relief turned into a nervous gulp when she looked into Amy's eyes,

"Where or earth WERE you, young lady?" she heard her mother shout "Sonic and I thought Eggman had got you...I was worried sick about you!"

she was still holding her by both arms looking right into her eyes, she looked over at her father who was also staring with his patent 'I'm waiting' look on his face. Michelle's bottom lip quivered for a second as she hoped she wasn't introuble "I'm sorry to have worried you both but I...I wasn't too far from the house you see Rouge came by and asked me to help her find and examine the machine in the field Dr.Eggman dropped here last time she said I would be a big the super orginization G.U.N that she worked for" she explained.

[Crash-Bash]

"You could have at least told us," snapped Amy, "WE thought you might have been in trouble, that something bad had happened....look, you feel my heart..." She placed Michelle's hand on her chest, "It's beating quicker because I was worrying about you, and only to find you weren't that far away.......I....I....!"

Sonic quickly put a hand on her shoulder. Amy realised what was happening, then began to calm down.

"Michelle, go to your room," she said, "Once I've calmed down, I'll have a word with you."

"You sure you don't want me to?" asked Sonic.

"No, thank you," said Amy, "I need to learn to control myself."

"OK," said Sonic. Then he looked at Michelle, "You heard her. Now go. Now!"
