Soulmates {Angel}

Without even a trace of hesitation Crevan accepted the hand that was held out to him, that happy smile seeming to almost make him glow, figuratively speaking. It was clear that he was currently over the moon and the scent of Tyler, and the closeness of the other fox, was only adding to this feeling.

Oh yes, he was head over heels already.

Tyler smiled, and gently squeezed that soft hand, pressing close to Crevan as they walked.

His inner alpha screamed at him that it was his job to protect Crevan. To keep him smiling, to keep him happy. And... He didn't mind. He wanted Crevan to be happy. He wanted him to smile, and laugh, and be excited.

He wanted to hold his hand, and hold him.

With that soft little smile still on his lips Crevan led the way from the clinic and down the street toward the little cafe where he sometimes went after work. Mainly because he didn't particularly want to go home and avoided that whenever possible. His ears flicked to and fro while his tail swished behind him, the blue eyed kit leading the way and not paying the least bit of attention to other alphas and omegas that they happened to pass.

It was as if Tyler was the only one in his world right now.

Tyler was beyond caring what others thought. His only concern was Crevan.

When they stopped at a crosswalk until the light changed, he nuzzled his nose into Crevan's hair near his ear, breathing in his scent. And when they started walking again, he held tight and protectively onto his hand.

Crevan was a little startled when Tyler nuzzled against his hair but he didn't mind this and instead took the opportunity to lean against the alpha's chest. He was almost disappointed when the light changed and they were able to proceed but he tried not to show that.

It didn't take too long to reach the cafe and once there Crevan led the way inside.

"This is it," he said with a smile.

"Hey, Crevan," one of the waitresses called out, smiling at the regular customer and then grinning even wider when she took note of the fact that he wasn't alone. "Ooh, you brought a friend." She put emphasis on the friend part since she could tell that it was more than that.

Crevan blushed brightly again, wondering why everyone wanted to give him a hard time today.

Tyler smiled, and gently squeezed Crevan's hand, nodding to the waitress politely. He let his soul mate lead the way for now. Because, honestly... All he cared about was being close to the fox. He wanted his touch, his scent, his voice.

Lacry grinned brightly before leading the way to a booth that was somewhat secluded, doing this on purpose but not saying anything about it. "Here you go," she said, gesturing for them to sit and then taking their orders.

Crevan was embarrassed by this but he knew that Lacry didn't actually mean any harm, she just liked to tease. He was pretty familiar with most of the staff of this cafe since he came here so frequently. He sat down at the booth and then waited for Tyler to join him.

Tyler slotted in, and pressed up to Crevan's side, almost protectively.

He was instinctively trying to keep Crevan safe and sound, and it was, admittedly, pretty cute.

Crevan had been expecting Tyler to sit across from him but he wasn't the least bit bothered when the alpha instead sat next to him. He just ended up leaning against the other fox, inhaling his scent and enjoying the feelings that it elicited.

Their bodies certainly seemed to know what they were.

Tyler smiled happily, and wrapped an arm around his soulmate. He was immeasurably calmed by Crevan's presence and touch, and would do anything to keep him close like this.
