Default Spanking references/threats in TV, Movies and Books

I was watching Agent Carter tonight and there was an out of nowhere spanking reference and it was a very pleasant surprise. Peggy Carter is at a bar with a guy and telling a story from when she broke into her headmaster's home in high school and got caught. She finishes the story with "they broke a few switches on me but I was the school hero". I happen to have a rather huge crush on Hayley Atwell, so that line really stuck with me. But it also reminded me that a reference to spanking or a verbal threat can be as memorable as an actual spanking scene; sometimes even more so, because they leave so much up to the imagination.

In last year's film "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." there was another example of that; Armie Hammer's character angrily tells Alicia Vikander's character "don't make me take you over my knee." Yes, I'd have loved an actual spanking scene (especially with Alicia Vikander ), but still, hearing those words in a movie theatre was cool in its own way. In lieu of a spanking scene, that line alone was still quite memorable.

Does anyone else remember any references to spankings in pop culture- as opposed to spanking scenes- that really stand out?

In the novel "The Rithmatist" by Brandon Sanderson, the character Melody opens a conversation with the line "Let the flogging commence!". Metaphorical flogging of course, and confusing to the other characters.
And from the new season of Mythbusters, Adam using "Spank!" as onomatopoeia for a shrimp hitting a pillow at high speed. Delightfully random : )

In the classic post-apocalyptic action/comedy film "Six String Samurai" the hero Buddy threatens to spank the kid that has been following him. Right before he fights a bunch of Russian Soldiers he leaves his guitar with the boy and threatens that he´ll take him over his knee if he breaks it. You can only find this quote in the German version as far as I know.

There are also two memorable scenes in Red Sonja. The heroine first threatens to spank the bratty little prince she protects and then later easily overpowers the child and lays him over her knee when becomes agressive but his servant intervenes before the well deserved punishment can begin. After than the little boy starts to have a crush on Sonja ^^
