I was watching Agent Carter tonight and there was an out of nowhere spanking reference and it was a very pleasant surprise. Peggy Carter is at a bar with a guy and telling a story from when she broke into her headmaster's home in high school and got caught. She finishes the story with "they broke a few switches on me but I was the school hero". I happen to have a rather huge crush on Hayley Atwell, so that line really stuck with me. But it also reminded me that a reference to spanking or a verbal threat can be as memorable as an actual spanking scene; sometimes even more so, because they leave so much up to the imagination.
In last year's film "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." there was another example of that; Armie Hammer's character angrily tells Alicia Vikander's character "don't make me take you over my knee." Yes, I'd have loved an actual spanking scene (especially with Alicia Vikander

), but still, hearing those words in a movie theatre was cool in its own way. In lieu of a spanking scene, that line alone was still quite memorable.
Does anyone else remember any references to spankings in pop culture- as opposed to spanking scenes- that really stand out?
