I had no idea why they all tried to hold in their pain when I spanked them. They ended up crying anyway at one point or another. Of course I hated hurting any of them, but they needed to learn their actions had consequences. So I continued to spank Mettaton, pausing for a moment once his rear was a dark pink and starting to rub his back. Using my magic I levitated Mettaton's hairbrush over to me, continuing to rub his back and calm him down so I would have his full attention.
