Is there a way to access other versions of the classic SQ2, in the current version 0.398, it runs just fine, except that I can't see the spanking scenes. it's just a black screen for the whole duration of the scene.

classic SQ2 is the old version of the game, it has the most towns but no pictures.
There was a "prepare to cry" version that was the first remake, but it is no longer available from op.

When did you download? there was a mistake where the link was not updated correctly a few days ago, but that should be fixed now.

I'm really happy to see this project is continuing, but I find the goblin content extremely off-putting. I just really, really don't like content with children in adult games. I really wish there was a way to skip and not have to interact with it :/

The goblins may sometimes look a bit like children but even then I'm reasonably sure nothing in the game ever claims they are. I've been assuming they are the equivalent of teenage or young adult goblins and are just bratty as all goblins supposedly are.

They absolutely look like kids. They're the absolute right size for kids, and they talk like kids. I tried really hard to imagine they're teenagers, but the games they play and the way they talk completely destroyed the idea that they could be teens (or even tweens).

Don't get me wrong, the game is Boagool's, and he can do whatever he wants with it. I have no right to demand anything. I'm just really sad, because I've been following this game since the very first demo. Even though there was a long hiatus, I frequently checked back on his Patreon. I was so excited for the update, and I'm currently very bummed out about not being able to enjoy it. After the very first update, I managed to slog through that beginning. But now, I just can't :/

I think in most fantasy settings that have goblins, they are shorter than the average adult human. Actually I think they would be the same size as a 10 year old child in most fantasy settings. So while I agree they look young, that's more because the faces and not the body itself.

As for the way they talk, yeah you have a point. But I want to point out part of that is because their actions and the way they display emotions. There are plenty of fantasy stories with goblins that are unable to talk correctly. An example being they can use most words, but they can't string them together into proper sentences (basically what we would call 'caveman speech').

Yeah, I get it - it's a way to indulge the child fantasy without having to use actual children. I'm not trying to judge anyone (and I'm sorry if my initial post came out that way). I just wish there was a way to opt out of it (like there is with the ABDL content).

No I understood you weren't trying to judge. I agree that the goblins are kids. I was explaining my reasons for seeing them that way. I just paired my reasons with yours in a way that was supposed to explain just how easy it is to see the goblins like that.

@Bagool. Okay soo..... Just doing a simple color change on the images was enough to get the purple panties my wife wanted for her character. As for making it so she could play as a crossdresser, well... I forgot that I had RPg Maker MV as well. My wife dove in. All she had to do was place a chest with the female clothes in it. The images don't layer perfectly, but close enough that she was satisfied just doing that... Long story short, so long as you can find it and equip it, then you're good to go for crossdressing characters. Well, at least for the spanking scenes. I didn't pay atention to if you coded it to affect the sprite, period, or if it changed the character sprite based on gender.

Though she did want me to tell you that it doesn't necessarily mean you have to add reactions to the scenes if you are crossdressing. It could be something that is common enough in that world that it isn't a big deal... Those were her exact words.
