Is the event working now?If it is,what did I do wrong?I talk to Maria after getting the underwear back from the Matron,and Maria only mentions she had a spanking yesterday and don't want me to have one from the matron too,nothing is mentioned about the book.Or is Maria's scene after the chores are done?

You need to look in her punishment book after you run downstairs, but before you leave.
Then after you apologize, ask for a spanking and she will mention the book. I tested it so it should work, but if it doesn't let me know.
