So playing this game as well as the other AOTK game inspired me to try working on a game as well. I am not experienced with RPG maker at all but it does seem to have a much faster starting point than if I were to make the project in unity or another game engine so I plan on going RPG maker as well. However I am just experimenting around at the moment. I'll make my own thread if I get anywhere.
If you need/want help with this project in some way I would be willing to contribute as well. I am no good at ruby but i am an experienced programmer in C#,C++ and java. you take me a little while to ramp up on ruby. I am also fairly skilled at Photoshop and modifying assets.
At the very beginning of this thread you mentioned incorporating a lot of it's presentation from godspeak's current project was that just in style or is there a shared asset pool we could contribute to/pull from? Has there been through to version controlling the projects so multiple people can contribute directly?

all those rooms in casino leave plenty of opportunities for spanking. I assume the castle thief will be working the festival. after next time shift, castle thief could hide out in shed in first town.

As an idea, you could do the pop-up pictures during spanking scenes (similar to how zae's game worked) that remain visible for ~5 seconds or so (or until the player presses a button to advance the scene to the next phase). You could leverage contributors to create a few pictures for each scene, since there's only so many possible combos (2 genders of PC, limited attire options) and choices for each scene.
I, personally, only work in digital art, but that actually makes creating scenes like these really easy, since I can swap character models in and out, or alter their attire, and then re-render the scene to create a portfolio of images applicable to each scene. Of course, including such assets will increase the file size, so that may be a concern.

@Gulya: Thanks for the concern, I felt very confident with my exams. I'll be sure to add your saw-horse tile set into the game. I think I'll be editing them to show a bit more of a difference between the first few levels though. I'd say the block is more regarding where to head next. I know that I want to work on the festival but it's just taking longer. One thing about 'skipping' ahead of time, did you mean like progressing to tomorrow? Because I planned on the game taking place within one day. A lot of your ideas are do-able, and I'm sure I can work some in.
@Thranduil: I actually had that idea pretty early on, but it never evolved into anything. It's tricky because I want there to be some uniformity in it (either some key scenes only, or anything that can get made). I'm still interested in the idea though, but it will get tricky to set up.
@genieman: rpgmaker is super easy. You don't have to do any real programming, but it has a script feature if that's your cup of tea. I just meant his style, there aren't any real assets to use, but if you were to look at the code either of us had, go ahead because that's what I did.
@madcat: Yeah, I'd assume if I were to ask some artists to help it would be of some consolation that the pic would only be seen for a short while, so they wouldn't need to spend a lot of time on it. File size isn't much of a problem, because even after everything that was added so far has only added about 12 MB.

Thank you. Yeah from what I have been using so far it doesn't seem too crazy. Since you offered I will take a look at how you are doing the spanking scenes because i haven't found how to do that part myself yet.

Hm.. it seems that, if you go up from the screen with the entrance to the Academy in Frostpoint, walking at the extreme left edge of the path, you appear phased into a street light and become stuck.
Another thing is when you pass by one of the soldiers guarding the front of the castle audience chamber, they tell you to report to the king - even if you already have.

I think you'll please a lot of people with this setup. Even with just a simple still photo, it'd be way better than just a blank screen.
But hey, that's coming from someone who has little patience for things such as coding. (Note: I know how RPG Maker works, I just used that to make my point.)

Yeah, that's fair.
With the skipping time, i wasn't necessarily thinking skipping to the next day, just sort of a way to kind of 'reset' the one-time only spanking scenes so you can 're-play' them, maybe with slightly different wording?... if its even possible, it could be left for once you've finished the game, to allow you to 'continue' playing without restarting the game.
Anyway, probably not even worth worrying about, especially if your busy.
Either way, feel free to pm me if you want someone to bounce ideas off/brain storm or whatever.

Just want to say that your game is the best thing I have found in a long time. I can see myself playing this for quite sometime! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.
