Ok I'm just going to ask, Now that i'm seeing all pieces how do you get RoS from the puppet thing. Also is there only one person who your can us the Rod on atm?

I'm not sure what puppet you're talking about, but redownload and enter the debug room (activate the bars up near the exit to the first town) and activate the wall in the center. That will give you everything to make the rod and will teleport you to where you make it.
There are 4 uses for the rod, as well as 1 normal scene, and 1 more if you talked to the matron in the casino after trying to gamble. All of them are in the first town.

hmmm well I started a new character because my guy is stuck in a box from the last update haha and I don't think I can get him out. When I start a new character and use the debug room I can only use the rod on one person.

I somehow made it so you can use it on Maria without having the rod, you just have the pieces. Take them to the mansion, and go through the back doors. Activate the shrine and you'll get the rod.

By the way, how safe is it to copy over save files from previous builds? I have just done that, and it is very near the start of the game so I assume it should not be an issue.

Some Rod crrraaazy stuff. Not sure if having a piece already makes the difference, but this is certainly odd.
WARNING: Don't fast travel, will mess day advance.

So load up a save (near the end) and have piece #5. Goto the cheat and get all pieces (it teleports you to home, advances day).
Now if I go to the mansion and forge the rod. The pieces vanish, old extra piece #5 still there which makes sense

BUT think the rod is showing up in Items and not Key Items? It also is blank. I have this one blank description in Items which I think is the rod. Nothing in Key.

Maria is still the only one which I see SUBJ! as an option. Others seem to have their next day placement and talk options, but no SUBJ!

If I fast travel to Frost (not sure if travel or just going into frost) to get to the mansion quicker... the advanced day thing reverts back (partially). Like the Inn doesn't have Claire in the middle of the room, and Maria is back in the Inn with the other drinkers.
Also the Quartermaster doesn't give you that 'favour' for the mission, she's back to here mid game options.

That's what happened in my previous version. Fast travel and the woodshed changed time back to the Dawn of the First Day.

Yeah, fast travel will mess things up because there are too many events to just bypass and ensure it will be stable.
Regarding copying over saves. Honestly I have no clue. Worst case scenario is the game just shuts down when you load it.
If you did not download the latest latest update from... whenever the last one was. You will not get the rod.
