Martinets are much more popular on other continents, it seems. Since I've still not got ships functional, you might need to get one from someone FROM another continent. Watch out they don't whip you black and BLUE though...

But yes, you can also just craft one.

I recently downloaded this game and have been having fun with it ever since! Managed to tell the Red Valley captain guard (?) about both the book and dagger, but I still haven't figured out how to travel to Frostpoint. It's probably pretty obvious, but can anyone tell me how to get to Frostpoint?

Also, I discovered the Thun'da ogre but could not figure out how to get out of the cage for the life of me. Does anyone know anything about it?

For Frostpoint you just have to keep going north from Red Valley. The guards blocking the path should dissapear after you told the captain about the two items.
The key is reachable trough different options. As far as I can tell it's random which one it is on every playtrough.

 

Tell her you are hungry and then agree to eat the dried meat, you should see the key and mayby you can reach it, if not tell her you are hungry again but refuse to eat, after a spanking you should be able to get the key.

Hi Banjo! I just stumbled across this game after I saw Bagool mention it. You're doing a really great job!

I think I'm stuck unfortunately. I'm trying to get the Revelations of Gla'aki (which I think is required in order to advance past Coral Town) from Sophie, but every time I try to steal it the game bugs out and I can't get the spanking required for me to leave her shop. Is this something anyone else has experienced?

EDIT: Okay, I've figured out how to get the spanking (the game makes it so that you have to go to a different spot than where Sophie actually is for her to spank you) but the game freezes after it's over so that I can't move or save.

@HagHaggardly: It sounds like your moving to a spot that blocks Sophie's pathing thus locks up the game.
