Considering what that exact tone had enthused the Doctor do to Hikaru's backside the previous night, the once pilot wasn't exactly willing for a repeat even if the news was far less than satisfactory. Nevertheless he did eat, hungrily infact, and he did actually begin to enjoy it for the most part; everything tasted to new, so fresh, it was pleasantly weird. But as soon as a familiar mop of hair caught the corner of the young boy's eye, Sulu had raced from the table and down towards the other end of the mess hall "Chekov!"

Jim had to laugh at that statement, he couldn't help it; now that was adorable--where was a camera when you needed one? it wasn't a surprise that he found himself gazing oh so fondly down at fascinated little one, until ofcourse a mock-look of seriousness came to his features; as if this where some extremely important secret for Spock's ears only "Magic." he told him, struggling against the twitch of the tell-tale grin threatening to reveal the tease "Illogical magic. I'm from Hogwarts Spock."

The man relaxed into a smile, content to watch the young boy eat and ensuring he got all the correct nutrients needed for the day. Well...he was a Doctor after all. Before he had even finished, Hikaru jumped up and sped over to Chekov who looked worlds confused so Bones stepped in. "Hikaru, you need to finish your breakfast, and you do not yell." he scolded down at the boy, "Now come on, leave Mr. Chekov be."

"Magic?!" Spock gasped, eyes wide and full of enticement as he gazed up in awe at Jim. Of course, he didn't know what Hogwarts was, he assumed it was some sort of planet. "Wow! Could you teach me this...illogical magic?" he asked, eyes pleading. He then paused and looked down a little. "Sir...I have no parents anymore...."

"B-but--uh," Hikaru stammered for a moment; glancing desperately between both the doctor and Chekov; he knew he wouldn't be able to settle down until he'd had a chance to speak to the Ensign concerning his station, being ripped from it so suddenly was such a shock that he knew he needed some kind of assurance that it would be alright until he was able to get back--but he did not want to cross Bones again. He squirmed for a moment, thoughts racing until the inspiration finally struck "But I'm full; can't eat when I'm full right, I'll get fat! Or Sick. Or fat and sick!" he bounced almost manically on his heels as he spoke, working at his best innocent smile for the doctor "Can I stay?" his head turned just for a sweet sort of emphasis "Please?"

In what felt like all too soon, the fond laugh with which Jim regarded Spock ebbed clear from his features to make way for a wash of concern at the little one's sudden realisation "What do you mean, Spock?" the captain secured an arm just a little more securely around him; he had a faint idea what the boy may have meant but something told him it would be better if he had a chance to have out with it before it had a chance to build any worse.

The Doctor wasn't buying it, not one bit, the kid showed no signs of being bloated, and what was worse...he was lying to him now. "No you can not, young man, and now we have to have a little talk." he said before picking him up and carrying him into a lockable bathroom. "Young man, you do not lie to me, not ever and not under any circumstances." he scolded and then sighed, putting Hikaru on his feet, "You're going to have to be punished." He didn't want to spank Hikaru again but...lying was unacceptable.

"I do not have a parent to look after me...as a child...it is something I need, is it not?" the little Spock answered and laid his head against Jim just a little bit, liking the security he felt when the man was around. "I am alone...and I cannot control these emotions I feel..."

"What?" Hikaru paled, visably shying away from the Doctor's declaration "B-but I didn't lie, Doc!" he tried to plead, unsure as to whether to step forwards in imploration or back in order to evade his grip "I don't wanna eat anything else, I'm full--honest!"

"That's not entirely true; you've got me," Jim gently persuaded as he shifted Spock a little closer in to his hold "And I'm pretty fond of you, little one," his finger tapped once more against the little one's nose, offering him a tender grin as he did so "Why don't you tell me about these...emotions, maybe I can help?"

"I know for a fact you are not full Hikaru, I am a Doctor and I know all the physical signs." Bones frowned and sighed, "Young man, you do not lie to me." he warned before kneeling down, outstretching one leg and then putting Hikaru over his leg. "Not ever." That said, he pulled down his pajama bottoms and bared the small, plump bottom.

The little Vulcan looked up at Jim and frowned a little, "But you are not my parent..." he answered, confused by that. "I do not wish to speak of them...I do not...understand them so it would be illogical to do so..." he paused and sighed, nuzzling against Jim. "But I do need a parent...will you be my parent?"

Hikaru couldn't quite keep "Ah!" He yelped upon realising just what was about to happen and, appropriately, panicked "No, no, no! Doc don't!" He pleaded as he felt a sharp chill cutting across the pinkish tint of his freshly bared bottom "I didn't mean it, I'm sorry! I'll eat, 'kay?!"


For a moment the captain swore that he hadn't heard that question right, but the reality of it was son confirmed when he came to meet the young Vulcan's all too genuine gaze. If asked the day before yesterday, there was a very real possibility that he would have flinched off of the question--but now? With Spock asking the question? It was more than enough to warm the cockles of his heart "Ofcourse I will, Spock," Jim murmured without even the tiniest shadow of a doubt. He held the little one, his little one, for a few quiet moments more before gently asking "Do you still wanna tell daddy what's wrong?" he knew that Spock, as a Vulcan, would find such a human term illogical, unnecessary, but still he couldn't help the harmless jibe.

"This isn't because you wouldn't eat, Hikaru. It's because you lied to me, and I take that very seriously." The man patted the small bare bottom over his lap a few times, making sure it wasn' too sore from the last spanking before he delivered a sharp swat to the plump middle. "You do not lie to me, do you hear, Hikaru Sulu?" he asked, giving a sharp smack to the under curve.

A small smile fell onto little Spock's lips when Jim confirmed he would be his parent, feeling happy about that. "Thank you....Daddy." he answered softly and sucked on his fist as he listened to what Jim said. "Um....I do not know....can you be of any help?" he asked softly, laying his head on the man's chest.

At once Hikaru began to squirm, pull and shove against Bones' firm grip in an albeit futile effort to get away; ofcourse, it proved all for nought once that first hit landed against his defenceless rear "Yow! Y-yes!" he yelped instantly, barely catching his breath before another smack to his under-curve once again had him howling "Yes--Ow! Yes! I-I'm sorry!"

"I think so," Jim nodded as his hand came up to comfortingly rub across his little one's shoulder blade, speaking just as soft in order to coax the problem from the boy "Emotions make humans what they are afterall; who better to ask than the one's who live with them?"

The good Doctor had to steel himself to the cries of pain emitting from the little one's lips and he continued to firmly spank the little boy over his one knee. "I should hope you are." he answered and then stopped spanking before pulling him up and hugging him to his chest. "Shh now, shh...I'm here, I've got you." he whispered and nuzzled the sad little face. It was hard having to spank him, but also necessary.

"I feel frightened...I do not know what happened. I feel dependent on you Daddy. I cannot control these emotions, they are getting the better of me." Spock explained, his human eyes looking up at Jim, and they held so much emotion.
