"Apparently you don't because I managed it without a key," Crevan told him when he pointed out that he did and that they were locked at night for a reason. The kid was thinking that reason was paranoia but he didn't say that out loud. "Can search me if you don't believe me," he added quietly, not particularly happy with the fact that the man didn't believe him but there wasn't much he could do about it. "Yea sure," he said quietly when the man suggested that they go to bed, the kid walking away from the man and making his way back upstairs.

Roy sighed when the kid decided to take that sort of attitude with him, "I do believe you." he answered but just let the boy go, maybe things would just blow over by tomorrow. He hoped so anyway because he hated fights or disagreements. He just wasn't programmed to deal with it well. He switched off the lights again and headed up to his room, pausing and then knocking on the boy's door. "Crevan, I don't know if It means anything. But I'm sorry. I don't want us to fight. You can hate me if you want to and I'll totally understand. But I do believe you and I'm sorry I accused you in the first place." he said before then going to his own room.

Crevan didn't think that the man believed him since he'd persisted even after Crevan had pointed out that he hadn't taken anything so he just decided to forgo the argument and make his way upstairs. He was sitting on the edge of his bed just wondering if this whole thing was even going to work out when there was a soft knock on the door. He looked over when Roy came in and he listened to what the man had to say though before he had the chance to say anything in response the man had turned and walked away. Sighing softly Crevan debated for a moment going after him but decided against that in the end, flopping over onto his side instead and just laying there in the dark and staring at nothing since he couldn't go back to sleep at this point even if he wanted to.

Roy hoped Crevan would take his apology into consideration but felt he needed time, so he didn't go in to his room and outright confront him about it. If Crevan wanted to, he would come and speak to him, Roy wouldn't force it. The man sighed and got into the bed, laying awake and staring at the ceiling unable to sleep because of the night's events and how he felt guilty about it.

Crevan really just didn't know how to react to the man and his defenses were heightened since he was pretty accustomed to being accused of stuff, some things he'd done and others he was innocent of. And while he might have felt the urge to go and talk about it he didn't actually make a move to do so when Roy came and called out to him from out in the hall. He simply remained silent and just flopped over onto his side, muttering to himself, "This is going just great." He was pretty sure that he'd end up shipped back to juvie on a more permanent basis but was trying not to dwell on that one.

Roy yawned a bit, he also tossed and turned and sighed in frustration when he could just not sleep. He rolled his eyes and flicked on his lamp, grabbed the remote and turned on the tv. If he had known Crevan was having trouble sleeping, he would have invited him to join him and watch with him. But even so, the kid probably wouldn't be comfortable with that.

It was an incredibly long and restless night for Crevan and he felt that it was never going to come to an end but such was not the case and eventually his room started to fill with the faint light from the rising sun. "Ugh, there is just no good way to see this time in the morning," he muttered as he got to his feet, making his way to the bathroom and figuring that he wouldn't get in trouble for that as long as he made no moves to go outside this time around. It didn't take him long to finish that task and at that point he just made his way downstairs and plopped down on the couch, pulling his knees up to his chest and just looking around.

Roy woke up pretty early despite the major lack of sleep he'd gotten that night. He decided he would have a sausage and bean pasty for breakfast, since he was just in the mood for one. He didn't think Crevan would want it, so he would just make a bit of toast for the kid. He headed downstairs and into the kitchen, heating up his pasty and then setting down the kid's toast. "Crevan, breakfast." he called and sat down with his own.

Crevan was still sitting in the living room when he first heard Roy moving about and then was called to the kitchen by the man for breakfast. Getting to his feet he made his way slowly into the room, turning his blue eyes to his current caretaker and looking at him with something of a confused look. "What in the world are you eating?" he asked, seeming as though he had more or less forgotten about the incident of the previous night despite their little disagreement over his trip outside.

"A bean and sausage pasty." Roy answered, after finishing a mouthful of the warm mix of food. "I figured you wouldn't want one, so I made you a bit of toast." he informed and poured the two of them some juice. "I have to be at a meeting tonight, til around eight ish, so you will have to stay in the juvie until then." he explained, checking his iphone for further messages about that.
