Crevan remained quiet throughout the movie, his blue eyes focused on the screen as he seemed to study everything in far more detail than what was typical. The boy had something of a tendency to psycho analyze things but that was just because of his intelligence and his desire to understand human nature. When the movie was over the kid got to his feet and stretched his arms up over his head, looking at Roy as he said, "Be right back." Having said that the kid darted off, heading upstairs.

Roy actually almost fell asleep half way through the movie, just because he'd seen it that many times, but he managed to soldier through it for Crevan, he didn't want to be asleep and let the kid think he didn't want to watch something with him. He nodded and smiled when the kid said he would be right back. "Okay, I'll be here." he answered and yawned a bit. "Oh Balto, I'm getting old." he chuckled, letting the dog come up on the sofa and lay down with his head in his lap. "Crevan!" he called up. "You want a milkshake or something, buddy?"

Crevan was intent throughout the movie but the moment that it was over the kid jumped to his feet and said that he would be back before darting upstairs. The kid wasn't gone for very long and when he came back he looked at Roy, shaking his head slightly as he replied, "I don't think you'd like me very much after sugar." No one really ever did after all, he was a complete live wire after the stuff, having absolutely no tolerance for it and he'd be bouncing off the walls if he were to have something like a milkshake.

"You're a kid, kids should run around and yell and make noise, it's all part of being a kid, and I think I can handle it." Roy explained to the kid with a smile on his face. He didn't agree with the whole 'children should be seen not heard' thing, the best possible sound was a child laughing and being happy. "Come on I'll make you one, I'm going to have one for myself." he said, leading the boy into the kitchen and taking down the mixes. "I have chocolate, banana, strawberry, vanilla or butterscotch." he told him.

"Or if you really don't want milkshake, I can make you a nice hot drink?" he suggested.

Crevan gave him a look when he was told that he was a kid and was meant to be hyper and all that, the boy looking doubtful. "People don't really like that sort of thing, trust me I've been through that enough to know," Crevan said quietly, following along behind Roy when he said that he was going to make one, not really up for refusing but he still looked doubtful about the whole thing. "Allergic to strawberries so that's out," he said quietly, "Anything else is fine." Once again he was showing that he wasn't very picky. "Maybe vanilla," he added as something of an after thought.

Roy smiled at him and put a hand on his shoulder, "Well I do, and that's all that matters, since you're living with me." he explained and lead him through to the kitchen, taking a mental note about him being allergic to strawberries and he didn't even like them, so that was a good thing. He nodded when he mentioned vanilla. "That's one of my faves." he grinned, pouring the mix and making two, one for himself and one for Crevan. He added chocolate sprinkles and a straw before handing it to Crevan, "Drink up pal, if you don't like it I'll get you something else."

Crevan sighed softly when Roy said that he was living with him since that wasn't entirely the truth of the matter. "Not technically...just spending nights here," he said quietly, not trying to be a brat but just making the point that he didn't technically live here. When he was asked about the flavors of milkshakes he told the man that he was allergic to strawberries, making a face at that and thinking that the rest of the day was going to be very unpleasant for them if he ended up with that flavor, mostly him since it would involve a trip to the ER.

He ended up just going with vanilla since the man seemed determined that he was going to make a milkshake, Crevan still thinking that it was a bad idea. He accepted the glass when it was handed to him, saying quietly, "Thanks...but don't say that I didn't warn you."

"Well would you rather I say you lived at Juvie?" Roy asked with a shake of his head, "You sleep here, in my books it means you live here, even if it is just evenings, nights and mornings." he explained and supped the milkshake, playfully rolling his eyes when the kid said about warning him. "I can handle it kiddo, besides you need to cheer up and get energetic, you are a kid after all." he explained to him and continued to sip, the sugar not having an effect on him.

"Not that I'd rather you say it...but it's sorta the truth," Crevan said quietly, looking at Roy as the man said that he slept there so that meant that he lived there, the boy not sure how he felt about that one but he didn't say anything to protest this time anyway. When the milkshake was offered to him Crevan took it, mentioning that he'd warned the man, and then looking at Roy when he said that he needed to cheer up. "Being a kid means I should be cheerful?" he asked quietly, absently rubbing at his right arm where he had a noticeable scar that he always kept hidden with long sleeves. "I didn't know that," says, being completely serious as he looked thoughtful and sipped the milkshake. "It's good," says quietly, as though he's never had one before, which he really hadn't.

"Every kid should be happy and feel safe, that's not just my opinion, that's how things should be. Children are precious and those who are lucky enough to have them and then just neglect or abuse them, they're the scum of the earth." he said unhappily. He didn't think Crevan needed to know that Roy couldn't have kids naturally, having not been in a relationship for a long time because of it. He smiled when the kid said the milkshake was good. "Yeah, I love milkshakes." he answered and sat down to drink his, smiling at the kid. He wanted to see him happy and carefree, like a child should be.
