Crevan was pretty sure that trying to rollerblade while attached to a dog would end in disaster and so he pointed out that it would be fun right up until the trip to the ER. Which wasn't to say that he would never put himself into danger but he knew that he was in no way athletic enough to pull that off so he wasn't even going to try it despite that he had been the one to bring it up. So instead he just walked along, glancing at the music shop and then looking to Roy when the man said that they could stop and look if he wanted to.
"No that's alright," he said with a shake of his head, continuing on his way despite the offer. It was true that he was interested, he was a born musician, but it wasn't as though he could afford any of the instruments, they were quite pricey after all and he was quite broke.

If there was something in that music shop Crevan wanted, Roy would have considered buying it for him, but since the boy hadn't mentioned anything about wanting an instrument and just wanted to move on, the man had no way of knowing. "Alright if you're sure." he answered and offered him a small smile. "It's no trouble at all kiddo, you know." he answered but accepted his answer all the same and just walked over the road with him to the park, leading him by putting a hand on his back.
Once they were there, he turned to Crevan. "Okay you can let him off the lead now, he'll have a run around for a bit, so we can play ball." he explained.

Crevan looked at him and nodded when he said that it was no trouble, the kid saying softly, "Yea I know." He really didn't think that the man would have a problem with looking inside but all the same he didn't see the point so he just decided that going to the park would be the best option. That was the one thing that he missed about living with his biological father however, there he'd had plenty of different instruments and had been able to keep himself occupied and could forget for awhile at least just how bad things were.
Violin was his specialty and he was actually good enough to be in a real orchestra if ever given the chance but no one aside from his father had really ever heard him play.
Crevan shrugged off that thought after a moment and just continued to the park, looking at Roy and nodding when the man mentioned letting the dog off the leash. "Alright," he said as he leaned down to unclip the leash, freeing the dog and then standing back up straight.

Roy smiled, he would have liked to hear Crevan's potential with the violin but he didn't know anything about his virtuoso side. He would have to get to know about the kid a bit more to find out what he liked so that he could make being at his home more ...well homely for him. He would like nothing more than Crevan living with him full time, the man felt like he was ready to take on a kid full time.
As soon as the lead was taken off, Balto shot off and rushed around the field faster than any other god because he was in such great shape. Roy chuckled and put the ball down, kicking it to the boy lightly, "Ready?" he asked with a grin.

Crevan smiled at the way that Balto took off and started tearing around the park, the boy smiling slightly at that since he just thought that it was funny. "Well someone's going to be tired tonight," he commented lightly before looking over at Roy when the man asked if he was ready, the ball that was sent his way taking him by surprise. Because of that he ended up having to go after it, the kid looking up a bit sheepishly as he replied, "Well obviously not." He said that in answer to the question that Roy had asked him about being ready since he had managed to miss the ball but he gave it a kick back toward the man at that point, still seeming to be unable to stand still so he was almost running in place as he waited for the ball to be returned to him.

"He sure will be, he won't even make it up the stairs." Roy laughed in addition to Crevan's light comment. He then lightly kicked the ball to the boy and rose a brow when it went sailing past him, "I didn't kick it that hard." he smiled but he wasn't upset or anything, he just got the ball when he kicked it to him, and he kicked it back to the boy, putting more power behind the kick this time to get the boy running for it.

"You didn't have to, I wasn't even paying attention," Crevan told him when he said that he hadn't kicked the ball that hard, the boy running for the ball when it was kicked back toward him. The two of them played like that for awhile and Crevan actually had a smile on his face as he darted about though at one point he missed the ball and it went toward the street. Without giving that one much thought, despite how intelligent he was, Crevan darted after it, the blare of a car horn startling him and causing him to jump back instinctively.

Roy smirked, "I know you weren't paying attention." he answered, amused and then he kicked the ball to him, putting enough power behind the kick to get the boy running. He chuckled when he ran and chased after the ball, smiling wider when the kid was smiling, he liked seeing him happy, there was no better sight for the man to see. He kicked the ball again, putting more power behind it than he was supposed to and he watched in horror as it shot off toward the street, and the kid bolted.
"Crevan, no!" he yelled, darting after him and grabbing him back when he jumped out of the way of the car. He felt his hear pound and he held the boy to his chest, trying to calm down from that scare. "Crevan! You can't just run out in the middle of the street, what if the car would have hit you?" he asked, looking him in the eyes.

Crevan just snorted at what Roy had to say before he focused on the game that they were playing, perhaps a little too hard. The kid was having a good time as he chased after the ball though when it went flying toward the street he didn't really give it a second thought before he darted off after it. The blare of the car horn was what broke through and caused the kid to jump back, right at about the same time that Roy grabbed him so that was probably a deciding factor in why the kid didn't end up getting struck.
Crevan looked up at Roy when the man told him that he couldn't run out into the road and the rest, the boy shaking his head slightly as he said quietly, "Didn't think about that before I did it."

Roy took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down before he had a heart attack. He looked the boy right in the eyes and frowned when he said he didn't think before he did it. "That's something you really need to think about from now on Crevan, you could have been seriously hurt or worse." he scolded him before pulling him into another tight hug, he wanted to swat the boy for scaring him so bad, but refrained from doing so, especially since they were in public.
"...Crevan, that was dangerous, do you understand why I'm upset with you?" he asked.
