Johnny slumped in defeat, quickly realising he’d been sussed out, and Ollie wouldn’t stop asking until he told him the truth. If only he’d been this perceptive when it came to keeping his shirt on…

“Okay, okay, he usually…you know…whoops my ass.” He tried his best to put it into the least-embarrassing phrasing he could think of, hoping he could give Ollie a more mature mental image than kicking and crying over his father’s thighs while he smacked his bare bottom. Perhaps bending over for the belt, though he’d only done that once or twice, and it had still been over Henry’s lap!

Oliver was swinging back and forth, kicking up some of the ground beneath him as he swung forward. He actually had no intention of prodding any further. Despite what Johnny had thought, that perhaps Ollie was onto him and would continue to ask, he had gotten the answer he’d wanted. Sure, he didn’t think Johnny was being entirely truthful, but he figured perhaps he had some ‘embarrassing stuff’ that his dad would take away. Like a teddy bear, a play castle, something childish and embarrassing that he didn’t want to name. Though when Johnny suddenly flipped everything right on it’s head and admitted to getting whooped, Oliver stopped his swinging and looked right over at his friend with a surprised look on his face.

“What like.. You get spanked?.. Like, still? At fourteen?..” Oliver asked, sounding quite surprised. As he looked over at Johnny, he could tell his that his friend was pretty embarrassed about having admitted to it. Ollie didn’t really need a verbal response to his question. The look on Johnny’s face said more than enough.

Oliver leaned back on the swing, holding the ropes as he looked up at the sky, letting out a heavy sigh.

“Well thank fuck it’s not just me then.” Oliver said, before pulling himself back up after a couple of moments.

“After I visited your place last time, I think your dad called my mom, and she got really pissed at me. I haven’t gotten spanked since I was like, what.. Five, maybe? Like literally ten years ago. And then out of the blue, she decided that spankings would be how she’ll deal with ‘misbehaviour’, ‘attitude’, ‘broken rules’ and ‘poor grades’. Just like that. I’ve got no idea what got into her…” Ollie sighed again, before looking to Johnny again with a light warm smile.

“Sorry if you got embarrassed.. It’s just a little reassuring to know that I’m not the only one.” Oliver said with a soft expression. He too did sport a mild blush, but he wasn’t as embarrassed about opening up about it. More so now that he knew Johnny got it too.

Johnny groaned and half shrunk in on himself when Oliver came to the right conclusion, face flushed in embarrassment.
“Yeah, pretty much…” he winced, expecting the other boy to burst out laughing and maybe declare something like “wait until the others hear about this”, but much to his surprise (and relief!) he only leaned back with a sigh, before saying something that completely caught him off guard.
“Thank fuck it’s not just me then”.

He listened in dumbstruck silence as Oliver told him all about what had happened to him after that first day hanging out.

“Yeah, yeah he did.” He confirmed, the memory of standing in the corner with his butt on fire while Henry talked on the phone burnt into his brain. “I think she must have gotten the idea from him, because he, uh, he lit me up, and then he…talked about it on the phone. I honestly hadn’t really been spanked before about a year ago, when I snapped at my mom one night.”
He didn’t feel nearly as embarrassed now that he knew Ollie wasn’t going to laugh at him, and that he wasn’t alone in his experience with parental discipline, and he smiled shyly back at him.
“Well, I guess that’s something else to bond over!” He joked.

Oliver groaned a little at the realization that his mom had more than likely gotten the idea to reintroduce those dreadful spankings as a result of the talk she had with Johnny’s dad… It wasn’t Johnny’s fault, of course, though it had turned out to be a rather unfortunate side effect of becoming friends with him and joining him home. Though there was no way of going back now. Not that he would want to, anyway. Sure, the spanking he’d gotten had sucked. Royally. But having as good a friend as Johnny, who had in such a short span of time become one of his best friends, was worth far more.

“That explains it.. I did find it strange that she would just suddenly think of that as a form of punishment..” Ollie said kicking his legs a little where he sat, the swing not moving though.

“I guess so. Perhaps not what I’d imagined us bonding over, but oh well.” Ollie chuckled, now imagining what Johnny would look like getting spanked. The thought made him blush a little.

(I know I’ve asked this before - but have you gotten around to creating a Discord for RPs yet? I really like this RP, but I’m never really on AOTK anymore for anything but recruitment threads. I’d love to switch it over to Discord, if you have one, of course.)

Johnny laughed a little as well. Now that he knew they were both in the same boat, he found it wasn’t nearly as humiliating to think about, and even laughable.

“Yeah, maybe we can bond over something else, like video games or TV shows. What’re your favourite ones of those?”
