Struggle of powers and kids

Daniel looked at the women if she looked at him with a look of worry. He did not understand why. Most people just treat him like carp trying to take what little he had or make him a slave or just beat him. He decided to just tell the women the truth. "I'm in danger sometimes. It just depends where I'm at and who is around. Most people try to take advantage of a kid like me." He said while looking up at the women.

Mark looked at the young girl. She seemed to not trust him which he understood. A lot of people now had started to hurt children a lot. He heard her name and shook her hand. "My name is Mark. Come with me. I'll take you to a decent restraunt for some food."

Isabelle sighed. "People can be cruel." She figured the boy had it rough. She wanted to help the boy, and although it could bring up some bad memories for the boy, she had to know more about his life. "What of your parents then? Are they around?"

"Okay." She eyed the man. She figured that if he tried anything really bad she'd set him on fire and run. It wouldn't be the first time she'd had to do something drastic. However, she thought he seemed alright so far. Maybe he'd be fun to be around. "I hope you have a lot of money on you. I'm really hungry." She smiled as she teased the man.

Daniel was still distrusting. He decided to just answer the lady for now and if she seemed harmful. He would use his wind to run and get away like he always did. "I've been alone for 2 years. My parents got killed with my village years ago." He said with honesty. That was true. He was hoping the women would go away soon.

Mark looked at the young girl with interest. He let out a small laugh as she mentioned a lot of money for food. "Don't worry. I have money. I eat a ton too." He said as he ordered some good amount of tasty food for the two of them. "So how long have you been alone?"

"Oh..." She had figured something had happened to his family, but she didn't expect it to be as violent as being killed. She didn't know if she should ask him to stay with her just yet. After all, she was still a stranger. However, she didn't want him to simply leave. "Well, I can help you out if you want. Are you hungry at all? There's a place to eat down the road. I'll buy you whatever you want to eat."

"About 3 years I guess." Abby said sadly. "My parents were poor, so they left me behind and moved somewhere." She couldn't remember them too well, but she did remember that they never really valued her as a daughter.

Daniel heard her mention food to eat. He was hungry, but didn't want to take food from the lady. He didn't need people to take care of him. He had his power so he could take care of himself. His power saved him and had kept him alive. That is the main reason he was alive. When he was hungry he just stole using the wind. He looked at her coldly. "No thanks. I can take care of myself." He knew that she wouldn't let him go easily so he used the wind to knock him back and run.

Mark sighed. He felt bad for the girl. The girl was left behind. It was just wrong to leave a child at her age alone. He didn't know to offer. He wasn't going to leave her though. "Well. How about you stay with me for now. I don't want you alone on the street."

"Woah!" Isabelle flew back, off her feet. Her head ran into the wall and she fell to the ground. She quickly got up, but it was too late. The boy had run away and was out of sight. "He didn't have to do that." She sighed before reaching into her bag and pulling out a small mirror. No visible damage had been done. She saw no point in following someone who wanted no help. She went back out to the market area and wondered if she'd ever see that boy again.

Abby had met some interesting people before, but this man was probably the strangest so far. He wanted to help her? "Sorry, but no." She dug into the food that had been brought out. "I'm used to it, so I'll be fine."

Daniel sighed in relief. He had gotten away safely. He looked back and saw the women was gone. He was glad. He did not want some adult acting like they would help him. They only hurt him. That was what he fault since that night and all other experiences with thrives for the past two years. His only friend was the wind that always protected him no matter what. He continued to walk until he saw a group of thieves he had met before and taken down. He quickly used his wind to help him, but it wasn't enough. He didn't ave enough control to take that many.

Mark understood that she didn't want help, but he could not leave a kid on the street by herself. "I don't want to leave you alone. You may have survived, but you shouldn't have too at your age. There is way I'm leaving a eight year old on the street." He wanted her to trust him, but knew it wouldn't be easy.

Isabelle decided to look around the market a bit more, but her thoughts kept on going back to the boy she had met. She hadn't even gotten his name. She sighed and decided she'd attempt to find him one more time, but she had no idea where to look! And he had already said he didn't want any help, so why did she care? These thoughts kept plaguing her until she saw a bird be blown in a random direction by some wind. She ran to where she saw the gust and hoped the boy was alright.

"I'd just bother you too! I don't see why you'd want me there anyway. Do you want something? Because I don't have anything to give you." Abby was getting a bit frustrated with the man. She didn't understand why he would bother with her when everyone else either left her or hurt her. She just figured if she went it'd be the same way with Mark.

Daniel was in trouble. He used the wind to gust some guys, but couldn't get them all. A guy came at him with a knife and he didn't have strength to dodge. He normally had the strength, but didn't right now due to how much power he used. He then saw the woman from earlier. He may usually be a lone wolf, but knew he would get killed or captured if he didn't get help. He yelled to her "help me please." He was surprised the words came out of his mouth. It had been years since he asked for help.

Mark wasn't trying to bug the kid. He just did not want to leave her alone. The kid was so young. He saw so many kids suffer. He didn't want to leave one on the street when he had the power to save her, but turned it down." I don't want anything. I just want to see you safe. I've seen Alot of kids suffer. I don't want you to suffer. You're to young to be in this world alone." He said hoping the girl would realize he just wanted to help.

Isabelle did not hesitate to attack the thieves. She jumped in front of the boy to block the man's attack with her daggar and countered by stabbing him in the stomach. The other men tried to attack her, but she easily dodged and countered with her own attacks. It wasn't too long before they were all down. She had gotten a couple minor cuts, but they could easily be healed. She turned to the boy and asked "Are you hurt at all?" as she looked him over for wounds.

Abby was silent for a while. "Fine." She took another bite of her food and swallowed. "But you'd better have a lot of food at home too."
