Alex was a bit confused what the purpose of the jumping rope was for, and she'd actually never used one before so she had no idea what she was supposed to do with it. she looked up at him when he told her that he trained Sam the same way and she looked interested when she heard that. "Do you think he would practice with me? When you're busy?" She asked, since she was assuming the rules were the same here as it had been back at her previous training yard, no one was permitted to practice alone.

Alex smiled a bit when he said that Sam might practice with her, the teen happy about that since she wanted all the practice she could get. "Alright I'll ask him sometime. Now, what am I supposed to do with this?" She asked, holding the jumping rope up since she really had no idea

"Watch I'll show you." He said taking the rope and jumping over it "Its easier with people to hold the rope but I thought it would be better not to have anyone standing around listening."

Alex watched as Icaret showed her what to do and the teen thought it was sort of odd but she took the rope back when it was handed to her and nodded when he told her it was easier with others. "That is probably for the best, sir" She agreed before attempting to jump the rope and she managed but it was sort of awkward for her, "What is this supposed to help with?" She asked, looking up at him with a sort of confused look.

Alex mad a hmm noise when he explained it to her, not sure that she believed this would actually help with anything like that but she didnt' say it. Then he went on to add that some children did this for fun and she nodded, thinking that was probably something she should've known buts he hadn't played much as a kid, she'd been too concerned with hiding her gender from the boys. "How long do I have to do this?" She asked then, jumping the rope again and still looking awakard about it but not as much as the first time.

Alex nodded, looking a bit frustrated at the instructions since it seemed pointless to her but she started to do it and after a while she was able to jump the rope fairly fast with it only getting caught on her foot every now and then. It was tiring to do this in armor though and she was starting to breathe a bit heavier from the weight of her chain mail.
