Subterfuge {for Monk}

"Why's it surprising that I know that? I've had to learn to be careful about who follows me, she's good but she's not that good. And she used magic on my door last night, dunno what she was doing but I don't react well to that. If she had done it when I was asleep I probably would've killed her, I did end up attacking her this morning. I healed her but still it's dangerous for magic users around me when I'm not awake, it protects me without my knowledge of what its doing and it sees anyone that can use magic as a threat" She said, launching into a little bit of a rant and sort of hoping he could help her learn to control that magic since she didn't like hurting people, and she was sort of hoping she hadn't just gotten herself into trouble with that speech since she admitted to using magic against Page even if it had been an accident.

Icaret held his hand up "Explain that all again without the ranting." He told her sharply "You attacked Page because she used magic near you?" He asked frowning

She winced at his sharp tone, having sort of expected him to be angry but she did need to learn to control her unconscious magic if it were possible. "She used magic on my door last night so that made her a possible threat, when I'm sleeping my magic attacks things that are threats to me. I have no idea why it does that, but magic users havent' been safe around me while I was sleeping since my powers first outed. She startled me this morning and it attacked her, it was an accident, I don't know how to call it back once it's fired" She explained again as ordered, trying not to rant this time.

"Much better." Icaret said "Well you need to learn to keep your power under your control before you can go on operations, I can't have you attacking my mages because they go near you when your sleeping."

Alex looked sort of depressed when he told her she couldn't go on operations right now, that was sort of bad news for her with her needing to train more and be better than the boys. "Yes sir. Do you have someone that can teach me?" She asked then, hoping he could or he knew someone else who could since this was a real problem with her.

"Yes I do, I can give you lessons on magical control." Icaret said "I planned to anyway but it is more urgent than I originally thought given your problem, once you have control I will bring in a war mage to teach you the fine details of your particular specialism."

She was relieved when he said that he could help her, nodding her head as he told her that he would teach her and later she'd have a specialist, which she was actually rather excited about. "When are we going to start that?" She asked, sort of wanting to get started right away but she wasn't sure how it would work with her other studies.

"We should the basic control exercises immediately." Icaret said "I don't want you toasting any more of my people."

Alex blushed when he made the comment about toasting his people, sort of embarrassed by that one but it was more or less accurate so she couldn't really protest. "Yes sir. What do you want me to do?" She asked, sort of relaxing now since she thought that if he was going to be angry with her and punish her for this he would've done it or told her by now.

"You need to find something in yourself that can represent tranquility." Icaret said "Once you have found that we can move on."
