Summer '09 Contest - VOTING
UPDATE! Voting closed, LoloASD is the winner of ArtFight '09, Summer Rumble Edition!
Thread will now be locked to prevent the spam that built up in the last one. If you have questions, comments or torches and pitchforks for the winners and moderators take them to the OFFICIAL CONTEST GRIPE THREAD.
Voting will last two weeks, at which point the artist with the most votes will be declared the winner receive a commission of their choosing. No, not from me smartass. I mean you can request that, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're especially masochistic. We'll commission someone else to draw it. The first two runners-up will be promoted to VIP status. Voting lasts from September 3rd to midnight on September 17th, GMT. May the best drawing win!
PS: Since it has been a while since they were posted, you may wish to visit the contest gallery to refresh your memories:

PPS: I'm running the next one.

Reason: Changed the voting period so that it actually, y'know, lasts two weeks like it was supposed to. YOU SAW NOTHING!

I was wondering if it was possible for my coloured version of my drawing to be the one in the contest.
I know I submitted it late, so I understand if it's against the rules

I can edit the picture in for the colored version if you choose. Ordinarily I'd say you were out of luck, but the contest went so long without being declared over that I'm willing to make an exception since it's already posted. And so there's more discussion provoking(?) content in this post here's what I think worked out well this time around.
- Lots of entries
- All of which came from different games
- No one had to be reminded to set their picture inside the game
- No Sonic or Digimon pictures, which I assumed would dominate
Agree? Disagree? Make suggestions of your own, then! I intend to open the Autumn art contest in early October so if you have feedback about this one now is the time to speak up.
And while you're at it, what criteria decided your vote? JUSTIFY YOUR EXISTENCE. I mean VOTE.

I voted for Sakura and her Chrono Trigger picture. Because A: I liked chrono trigger. B: It was both funny and cute. But I still hate her for beating me to it XD Nah I jest. I luv her still XD

I voted for Zani's Pong. I used to play Pong on the Atari, it's such a classic game. I just thought it was a really cute idea and fit the game well.
There were so many different games and they were all so clever it was hard to choose just one! Nice to see not so many overly commercialized games used too.

I'll vote for the first person to promise to, if they win, commission something that would appeal to me.
Yes, corruption is rife.

Quite a lot to chose from.
Given I don't know any of the games (belive it or not, I realy don't^^) I voted for the pic I liked the most. Simple, isn't it

"Violence erupted today in central AOTK as allegations of widespread corruption in the recent election resulted in protests, riots, and looting. Dr. Weird, the Secretary of Defense, was heard to comment 'wipe them out, God will know his own.' For a more in depth analysis of the this late breaking story we turn to our senior fetishistic correspondent, Graham Torino. Graham?"
"Thank you, Trish. The mood here on the site is intense. I'm standing here in front of the Main Gallery Index, which as you can see is just covered in graffiti. Ah, we've received word that several fires have broken out in the forums, but the rioters have blocked off the streets denying the fire trucks access. Parliament has issued leaflets with their statement here, which they've been dropping into the middle of protests via plane.... Here we are... 'Winners should bear in mind that the length of time it takes to secure an artist for them will vary depending on their request. It will be easier to find someone to draw Samus spanking Zelda with a hairbrush than a wet'n'messy warthog babyfur being caned. Be ready to provide references and/or descriptions unless you want the latter, in which case, please don't.' Hmm. Trish, it looks like these were printed before the riots broke out, we'll continue to bring you updates but right now we need to move, there's a crowd heading this way and--Hey, stop that! Get away from me with that paddle! Stop! NO! GYAAAARG--"
"Graham? Graham? Well, it appears our on the scene crew is experiencing some technical difficulties. We'll return to them as soon as they're up and running again. In the meantime, here's Ollie with the weather."
"IT GONNA RAIN!"
