Of Swords and Thrones: The Shadow Pact

Xearon nodded gently and set the weapons down on the bed. he moved to a closet and pulled out a heavy leather bag and opened it only to place the daggers inside before pulling it on. He picked up the other sword and looked over too Rokai as if awaiting instruction to leave. If Xearon was ready that fast he must have figured he'd be leaving the palace to train any ways.

"Fast and simple: as a true assassin. Now let us go. We have a long way ahead us," Rokai said, taking the lead and expecting the boy to follow him. Once they were outside the castle, they headed north and walked for almost one hour. "We are almost there," the assassin said stopping by the bridge over a deep river. "I'm glad you made this decision, Xaeron," the raven haired young demon said, getting a little distracted.

Xearon sighed and moved over to the railing leaning against it gently and over looking the water below. " And why's that?" he asked long ears perking up with interest as he turned to look at the elder over his shoulder.

"Because you chose what you considered to be better for you, that's all," the elder said, looking curiously at the red haired demon, his expression was somehow changed, but he couldn't tell the reason for it.

Xearon shook his head and returned his gaze to the water below. He had fallen dead silent for a minute or so. "Aren't they beautiful?" The red head asked looking down over the railing at the large coi fish that swam beneath.

"They surely are," Rokai said as he noticed Xaeron was looking at the ornamental fishes that palyfully swimmed in the river. The assassin stopped to watch the fish, too, being close to the bridge's edge to do so.

Just as the elder neared, Xearon let a sly smirk slip across his lips as he stepped back and with one harsh shove, pushed the elder over the edge and sent him plummeting down in to to freezing cold water below. The red head stepped back letting forth a full hearted laugh before leaning over the railing to call down. "Now...we are even." he called still trying to control his laughter.

"That's dawn cold," was the first thing Rokai said the moment he went to the water surface after being pushed into the river. "And, no, we are not even. Not yet," the elder said, his wet raven hair all over his head. After saying that, the assassin dived into the water once again, being impossible to be tracked as he was there. Suddenly, he appeared over the bridge again, grabbing Xearon and pushing him down to the river as well. Then, restricting the young man's movements to make sure he wouldn't anything but swim, Rokai took some hair out of his disciple's eyes and said, sharply looking into him: "Now we are almost even. You should know better before you tried this."

Xearon coughed a bit for some air. "You fail to understand the point of a practical joke." he huffed a bit shivering from the sheer cold of the water he was now in. "Know better, knowbetter..pfft. You should know better then you leave your self open mister top notch assassin!" Xearon said with a dark smirk. Oh yes that was a shot at Rokai's pride he just took!

"It's you who fails to understand the purposes of everything, foolish child," Rokai said, his face showing no sign of disturbance. His pride, however, was hurt. He could take almost anything from anyone, except lack of respect. And this time Xaeron had made a bad move. "Besides making you an assassin, your father asked me to be your tutor in order to show you some respect towards your elders, which you still seem to lack. Unfortunately, it seems I'm gonna have to teach you that the hard way." Saying that, the assassin pulled the younger demon's hair, right after immobilizing him and putting him over his shoulder, where he carried Xaeron all the way to his headquarters. He wanted Xaeron and everyone around him to know he was in trouble.
