The Tally (for Gaara of the Funk)

Once Rico was settled and let go, he motioned for her to go back to the line to watch the rest of the punishments. He then picked the wooden spoon up, and motioned to the table.

"Okay Kaede sweetie, climb onto the table, all fours and bottom up please. It's thirty five on each cheek."

[Terra]

Kaede took a breath and got on the table as instructed. ". . ."

First, he tapped her thighs, indicating she had to spread her legs apart - for balance, and to embarrass her, always part of the punishment. He pressed the oval-headed spoon against one soft cheek...

And then began. Five hard, stinging smacks rapidly applied to her right buttock, each making a pink, painful spotch. And then five to the left cheek. Just from that, there was already a great stinging.

He paused for a few seconds, letting her recover...

Then delivered the next five, first to the right buttock, then the left. After that - less than a third! - her whole bottom had just about been covered, although it was merely pink. It was going to get worse though.

At the first five swats, she cried out and held herself still. As it moved to the other cheek, she was already seething a bit from the pain.

As the punishment paused, she took a deep breath and braced herself as tears welled in her eyes.

As the punishment continued, she yelped with each swat to her right cheek, tears streaming down her face. She sniffled and squealed a little as the next round assaulted her left cheek.

Eleven more to go, on each bottom cheek. And so he kept going - three smacks here, then three there, then a couple here, two there...

By the time each cheek had taken twenty with the spoon, they were very red and sore, especially where hit multiple times, or where the edge of the spoon dug in.

He then reached over, placing his thumb on one cheek, and forefinger on the other, and eased her buttocks apart, making her bottom hole more readily available. Turning the spoon around so the outer curve would strike, he rested it against the target.

"Last two smacks, right here instead of on your bottom cheeks. Ready?"

With each swat, she yelped and twitched a bit, clenching her hands. When her cheeks were spread, she blushed embarrassingly and whimpered. "As ready as I'll ever be.." She muttered

One firm smack landed, one that was supposed to, according to the chart, land on her left buttock. But for those ten and older, occasional left-over smacks with implements would instead land between the cheeks, so as to hit un-marked skin, but also to sting somewhere sensitive.

Just as it did in this case. A pause - he waited for her to un-clench - and then the final smack, again on her bottom hole. And with that, he put the spoon aside, waiting for her to rise so he could hug her.

"There we go, it's all over, sweetheart. The punishment is over and the slate is clear."

[Terra]

Kaede yelped with the first swat to her bottomhole and whimpered more as tears fell on the table. The second swat gave similar results and Kaede was sobbing hard. She rose and hugged her father close.

He was glad that that was over - not as glad as Kaede, granted, but still, it was done. So he hugged her close, stroking her hair.

"It's all right, here we go. I know it hurts, but you'll feel a lot better in the morning. And by the end of tomorrow it'll probably have faded completely."

He gave her all the time she needed, not being in any rush.

Kaede calmed down after a few minutes, rubbing her eyes lightly.
