Kyler would have been surprised to know that Fury was offended on his behalf, and that might have made him slightly less hostel towards his new 'master' but he was unaware of that fact so he was just a resentful young man and beyond frustrated with the twist of fate that brought him here. Should Fury ever decide to attack his father's country despite this agreement then Kyler was going to be extremely upset since the only thing that was getting him through all of this was knowing that his people were safe because of his suffering, if that comfort were taken away then he would have nothing at all to make him feel even slightly as if this were worth anything. For now he was just trying to survive it and he was off to a bad start by pissing off the younger prince almost immediately upon arrival and ending up facing a punishment that was much harsher than anything he'd received before in his life. Of course he had been spanked as a boy like pretty much every other boy in the world, but he had only gotten the strap once and even then it hadn't been that many licks so the first lash of the whip on his back elicited a scream of pain out of the young man and had he known that Fury thought that he was weak because of it he would have made a bigger effort to contain it. He did still have his stubborn pride though so when the second lash fell he managed to bite back his verbal reaction to just a strangled cry of pain but he jerked just as hard for that lash as the first. He was already panting by that point, not used to this sort of treatment and it was already taking a toll on his desire to fight. He pinned his ears and whimpered when he heard Fury's question as the third lash fell but he refused to answer it verbally, tough his body language should show just how miserable he was in that moment and that would likely answer Fury's question for him. His resolve to take this like a man failed him at the forth, and silent tears started coursing down his face, the only sign of them the slight shaking of his shoulders and the smell of salt water in the air. The fifth lash got another scream out of him since that one just hurt crossing over the others and right above his backbone where he had little fat to protect him from the blow. He was shaking at that point, but not from fear it was from an intense reaction to the pain he was trying to fight and his tail was curled as close to his body as was possible, nearly touching his chin as he bowed his head and rested his forehead on the wall, breathing heavily to try and stop the tears. He jumped when he felt Fury gripping his chin since he hadn't heard the young man coming over and turned his head towards the other kitsune without realizing that he hadn't even tried to fight it. His eyes met Fury's visible one for a second, showing his pain but also a glimpse of defiance still since he was not broken yet, but he was cowed so the defiance in his eyes was the only sign that he was still fighting this at all. He could tell looking at Fury that the other kitsune enjoyed hurting him and that pissed him off, anger flaring in his eyes and actually giving him a bit of strength and he jerked his face away from Fury, turning it back towards the wall and resting his forehead on the cold stone as he once again strained as hard as he could against the binds on his wrists.

It was pretty easy for Fury to tell based on the reactions that Kyler was giving for the lashes that he wasn't accustomed to physical punishments however the younger prince was thinking that with the initial first impression that he'd made the older prince was going to grow accustomed to it sooner rather than later. He didn't dwell on that however and instead just focused on what it was that he was doing, Fury's ears pricked forward as he delivered each lash of the whip and he was enjoying the reactions that he was getting from Kyler, the younger prince actually a tiny bit impressed at his stubborn attempts to keep his reactions to the pain down to a minimum. "You may have more of a backbone than I gave you credit for Pet," he said in his customary soft edged voice, Fury twirling the whip a few times before he continued with the punishment. All in all he dealt five lashes to the older prince's back and then he set the whip aside, taking a few moments to listen to Kyler's panting breaths and then he walked over to his toy and gripped his chin, turning Kyler's face so that he could look into the other's eyes. Fury of course saw the pain but there was also defiance and then anger which intrigued the young fox all the more since he would have expected for those to have faded in response to the pain from the whip. When Kyler decided to jerk his face away and face the wall once again Tristan reached out again, this time grabbing him by the hair and turning his head as he said, "You would do well to learn your place a little better than that Pet, it will save you pain in the long run." Having said that he released his grip on Kyler's hair and walked away from him, going over to a table where he had left the other things he'd brought along. Picking up a moderately thick leather strap he walked back over to the spot where his slave was restrained, the younger prince reaching out and untying the sort of skirt like sash that was around his waist and allowing it to fall to the floor. After doing this he rested the leather against Kyler's backside as he asked, "Are you more familiar with this?" He actually wasn't asking this question to taunt his captive though it could easily seem that way to Kyler, he genuinely wanted to know if this was something that had been done to the older prince before. Not that the answer to that would have any bearing on what he did, it was just a matter of curiosity for Tristan. "Bear in mind that refusal to answer will earn you extra and trust me when I say you don't want that," Fury told him, feeling that it was only fair that the young man receive a warning. If he chose to act defiant after that, well it was on him.

Despite all appearances to the contrary so far Kyler actually wasn't a troublemaker, or at least he never had been back home. It was just the intense feelings of pain and anger that he had towards his father and the situation that were making him act up, and he soon realized that was a very bad decision as he was chained to the wall and whipped for the first time in his life, and had he known that Fury was tempering the blows he would have been dismayed since to him each lash felt white hot and got an agonized cry out of him despite his attempts to keep the volume down as much as he could. He growled when he heard Fury telling him that he had more backbone than the younger prince thought, actually offended by that one though he never would have been able to explain why that was the case if someone were to ask him. After that he was once again distracted by the whipping and he screamed at the last one before sort of sagging against his restraints and pant. He looked at Fury when the other man grabbed his chin but then he jerked his face away, and quickly found out that was a bad idea too. He gasped when Fury seized his hair and forced him to turn his head again, his eyes narrowing at Fury when the young man said that he should learn his place and spare himself some pain but he really wasn't an idiot so he didn't try to pull away again. Fury released him a moment later and he once again rested his forehead on the cold stone, managing to get his tears under control though he was still on the verge of them now. He flicked his ears towards Fury again when he heard the younger man going to get something else and a few moments later felt it resting on his backside and even though he couldn't see it he recognized the feeling and curled away from it as much as he could though he managed to keep his whimper back this time. He heard Fury's question and flushed but he wasn't going to answer it at first, but when Fury added the bit about refusing to answer earning him extra his defiance wavered and after a short hesitation he shook his head instead of answering verbally. He'd only gotten the strap once in his life and it had only been a half dozen blows, so he didnt' think that qualified as making him familiar with the implement. After that he tensed and his tail was still curled under his bottom and in Fury's way right now but he had no intention of moving it and giving the younger man a better target, of course that could change if Fury gave him enough incentive to move his tail or if the man hit it since it was sensitive.

Hearing the sounds of pain that were escaping the older prince would have moved the hearts of most people however it didn't really affect Fury though this was not because he was desensitized to it, far from it in fact. Rather it was because hearing the cries of pain gave him a certain sense of thrill and was something that he sought after whenever the chance presented itself, such as had been the case on this particular day. After putting away the whip he untied the fabric that had been wrapped around his new pet's waist for the sake of modesty, allowing it to pool on the ground at his feet, and then he retrieved the leather strap and pressed it against his captive's backside. The way that Kyler curled away from it got a smirk out of Fury as the Illyrian prince asked if this was something that he was more familiar with. And, lest Kyler decide to be difficult yet again and not answer, Fury was kind enough to give him a warning that making that decision would earn him extra. He saw the shake of the other's head and while he could have been a bastard and required him to give a verbal answer he decided not to do that. His visible violet eye shifted to the tail that Kyler was still holding tucked against his body and he looked back up before speaking to his pet in a cold tone of voice, saying, "My advise to you would be to move the tail unless you wish to find out what the strap feels like against it. Not pleasant, I can assure you of that much." he waited at that point to see just what his pet was going to do, whether he would make the right choice or the wrong choice in this regard. Fury could and would bring the strap down against Kyler's tail even knowing that it was a very sensitive area so it would be in the older prince's best interest to take heed of the warning and to move his tail while he was being given the opportunity.

Kyler was not going to break easily, so Fury likely was going to get lots of chances to hear him crying with all the punishments he was going to earn for himself, at least in the beginning of his time with the younger prince. Of course if he found out that Fury enjoyed hearing it then he probably would try to be quieter just to deny Fury that pleasure. For now he screamed at the last lash since it just hurt and then he tried to compose himself but before he really could his new 'master' instigated another torture session--at least how he was thinking of it. He flushed when the scant covering he'd been given was removed by Fury but that was a small thing compared to the thick strap he felt pressing against his bottom and he couldn't help curling away from it as he imagined how much it would hurt. For the moment he was cowed, since he wasn't stupid and he knew that further fighting with Fury would add to his own suffering so when Fury gave his warning against answering he shook his head no at the younger princes question and it really was a good thing that fury didnt' require a verbal answer since he wouldn't have given one and he would have earned those extra whacks for it which he really didnt' want. He tilted his head as far as he could to try and look at the young prince when Fury coldly told him to move his tail and he whimpered slightly, curling it tighter against his body instinctively instead of obeying and then screaming when the strap struck it, jerking hard since that really hurt way more than he'd been expecting and he had sort of thought that Fury was bluffing but he found out the hard way that his young master had been serious. He immediately moved his tail after that, curling it around his hip and crossing it up towards his chest almost as if he were trying to protect it from further harm and also sort of hugging himself with it as a few silent tears once again slipped past his guard and hoping that the sadistic bastard behind him would tire of this soon and stop tormenting him but he had the sinking feeling those hopes would be in vain.

It seemed pretty clear to Fury that Kyler wanted to continue to act defiantly toward him however it was becoming increasingly harder for him to do that given just what he was experiencing and the fact that it wasn't something that he was used to. Of course it would be in the older prince's best interest to swallow his pride and just give in and do what he was told however if that turned out to be the case it would rob Fury of the fun that he wanted to have so he actually hoped that his little pet, which he was thinking of Kyler as despite that the other young man was bigger than he was, would keep up the defiance for awhile longer. He didn't say any of this and instead just retrieved the strap that he intended to use on Kyler and then walked back over to the other prince, asking if it was something that he was familiar with. Tristan was not the least bit surprised when Kyler shook his head and indicated that he wasn't familiar with it since that was the answer that he'd been expecting. He stood there for a moment before warning Kyler that it would be in his best interest to move his tail and he actually gave the older boy sufficient time to do that and had he known that Kyler was thinking that he was bluffing he would have been quick to tell his pet that he didn't say anything that he didn't mean. Idle threats were not something that he issued though the other fox was going to find that one out the hard way. When Kyler curled his tail tighter against his body rather than moving it as he had instructed Fury took that as the other young man making his choice so he drew the strap back and delivered a moderate stroke to his slave's backside, striking his tail in the process and not the least bit surprised by the fact that Kyler immediately his tail out of the way. "Next time I trust that you will listen to me when I offer you fair warning," Fury told him in a matter of fact tone of voice, making this sound as though it were an order. After that he raised the strap again, bringing it down directly beneath the partial welt that was left from the first stroke, a slight smirk appearing on his lips once more as he noticed that there was a gap in that mark where Kyler's tail had been protecting part of his flesh. That amused him for some reason but he didn't dwell on it and instead continued to bring down stinging licks of the strap, not overlapping them but lining them up so that the older prince's backside was an almost uniform red by the time that he reached the tops of his thighs. Fury paused at this point to see how Kyler was reacting to this punishment so that he could gauge whether or not his pet was ready to cooperate with him now.

Kyler likely was not going to challenge Fury again for a while after this, not even on something small like refusing to walk on a leash when tugged since that was part of what got him into this mess and he was afraid that even slight shows of defiance would end similarly and that just wasn't worth it. Just as he learned that ignoring a warning the younger prince gave wasn't worth it when he felt the hard stroke of the strap against his tail--well it felt hard to him even if it was really just a moderate blow. He couldn't bite back the scream of pain at that one, jerking in his binds and immediately moving his tail out of range of further blows since that had really hurt and he let out the first high pitched, miserable whine when Fury told him to listen next time he was given fair warning about something. He didn't respond verbally but another high pitched whine escaped before he could bit it back, a pained and miserable sound that he couldn't stop right now. He pinned his ears and clenched his hands when he felt the strap leaving his backside again before yelping at the second firm stroke, not needing to see the red mark it left in its wake since he could feel it just fine. He continued to yelp and jerk as Fury strapped him and by the time that Fury got to the tops of his thighs he was crying quietly again and letting out those high pitched whines with every exhale, almost a keen of pain but not quite to that point yet he was just a very miserable young man in very significant pain that he was not used to. His ears were pinned submissively and his head was bowed, resting on the wall as he sort of hung in his restraints, his body language making it clear that he was cowed now and if Fury released him he very likely would cooperate at this point if only to save himself more pain, unless Fury gave him an order that went against some moral of his or something but for more normal things like walking on a leash and obeying orders he would cooperate at least until his backside and back stopped throbbing quite so hard.

While Fury himself had never had a slave before, the servants that worked at the palace not falling into that category because they were for all intents and purposes free and served the royal family willingly, the young prince still knew that initial training was important. So he had every intention of showing Kyler that when he said something he meant it and if the older prince decided to push him and test that theory, well that was on his head. As was the case when Fury ordered him to move his tail and Kyler refused, this not mattering much to Fury since the lesson would be learned either way. He delivered the first stroke and was not surprised when that got a cry of pain from his new pet as well as the immediate shifting of his bushy tail. "Good," he said quietly before he once again started to apply the strap to his slave's bare skin, striking with moderate strength though that was impossible to tell given the way that Kyler was crying out in pain. Upon reaching the older prince's thighs Fury paused, holding the strap at his side, and surveyed his slave with a critical eye. The submissive set of Kyler's ears pleased him and after a moment of consideration he set aside the strap and moved to unchain the other young male from the wall. "You're going to come with me now," he told him in a voice that left no real room for argument. Once he'd unbound Kyler's wrists and ankles, though of course leaving the cuffs in place since those were going to be a permanent accessory at least for the time being, he reached for the chain that was attached to the young man's collar, unhooking it and then looking at Kyler as he said, "You may cover yourself if you wish." He wasn't sure if the other would want he fabric touching his skin right now but figured he'd give him permission to exercise modesty if that was what he wished to do.

Kyler had never had a slave either, they hadn't even had any in the main floors of the palace though he had seen them from time to time in town, but he knew just as well as Fury that there was a training period and that he was supposed to act a certain way. He just didn't see himself as a slave, he saw himself as a prisoner of war or some other form of captive and it was hard for him to let go of his pride when it was really the only thing that he had. Still, by the end of the strapping he was crying and sagging in his binds and the desire to be defiant was quickly fading away thanks to the pain that Fury was inflicting on him for that decision to disobey. He tensed when Fury stopped strapping him, trying to brace himself for whatever new painful thing the younger prince was going to do to him now so he was sort of surprised when that didn't happen and Fury released him from the wall instead, removing the chain from the wall last. His hands immediately went to his backside, trying to rub a bit of the sting out and wincing when even his gentle touch hurt and he quickly abandoned the attempt. His tail was curled around his waist still, covering his front since it was embarrassing to be exposed like this in front of Fury even though he usually didn't care about modesty, like most of their kind he was comfortable in the nude as well as clothed. He wiped his tears away at that point, trying to get rid of the evidence that he had been crying and looked over at Fury with red rimmed eyes when the younger kitsune told him that he could dress if he wanted to, which surprised him since he hadn't expected that sort of consideration. He didn't hesitate to pick up the cloth and re-tie it though, even if it barely covered him it was better than nothing though the red marks on his lower bottom and thighs were still visible even with the loincloth. Once he was done with that he just stood there, avoiding eye contact and still having his ears pinned submissively as he waited for Fury to lead the way out of the room, not having responded to the teens announcement that he was going to come with him this time, but he didn't really need to he had been thoroughly put in his place for the moment and he had no desire to challenge Fury and get another dose of the strap on his already throbbing backside so he would behave himself for now.

Fury knew that going from second born prince and third in line for the throne to slave in a matter of only a few hours would be a hard adjustment to make but he didn't really care very much about that. In his mind Kyler's father had sealed the young fox's fate so now Fury was determined that he was going to make an acceptable slave out of him as well as have some fun in the process. It was for that reason that he delivered a thorough strapping after taking the whip to the older prince and once he was finished with that he felt that he had gotten his point across to the stubborn and defiant kitsune. He removed the binds that were holding the other young man to the wall at this point, saving the chain attached to his collar for last, and then he gave Kyler leave to redress himself. Had he been in that position he would have opted to stay nude since the fabric rubbing against welted skin was going to be unpleasant to say the very least but he didn't say anything when Kyler chose to cover himself with the scant cloth that he had been provided with. To say that he was sort of captivated by his new pet would be an understatement, Fury able to see that h had a sort of inner strength even while he was holding such a submissive countenance to his body. He wouldn't lend hint to that feeling however and instead just gazed stoically at Kyler while he dressed and then once the older prince looked to him he turned and started walking, leading the way out of the room but not pulling the chain this time since he was fully expecting that Kyler would follow where he wanted to lead. Leading the way down the corridor, the light from the candles on the wall casting dancing light on his silvery hair and fur, Fury arrived at a pair of large double doors, which he opened to reveal a rather lavish room. Into this room he led his new pet and once they were inside he turned to Kyler and said, "I'm going to keep you as my personal pet so you're going to stay with me. And if you behave yourself I might even make arrangements for you to have a bed." He was interested to see how Kyler would respond to this though in his mind he was being more than fair seeing as he wasn't locking the other prince up in a cage somewhere.
