The rest of the week went very well. The Saturday before Sadie's arrival, however, things messed up. Marilyn hid the naughty surprise she'd been given in the back of her sock drawer, and promptly forgot about it, not realizing the edge of the belt was visible when she forgot to shut the drawer. She'd been too preoccupied with grabbing the mail and having a chat with the mailman, whose cat had just given birth.

Lottie peeked her head into Marilyn's room to check on her. She wasn't there, but Lottie noticed the drawer that was left open. Particular about everything being in its place, she walked over to shut it, when she noticed the belt...And Marilyn was certainly shocked when she arrived to her room to see Lottie with crossed arms, holding the phallus in her hand.

"Um.... ta-dah?" Marilyn said softly, holding out her arms and grinning, in hopes of making her laugh. Sadie had done that, after accidentally dropping flour on her head, and the governess had laughed then helped her get it all off.

Marilyn shut the door, and she nodded, looking at the floor. "Yes'm, Miss Lottie... Celia gave it to me as... as a birthday present. But it was just for giggles, I swear!"

Lottie sighed once more and pinched the bridge of her nose. "We'll discuss that in a minute...But now I need to do what Mr. Lawrence would expect me to do..." She set the toy on her nightstand and sat down on the bed. "Fetch your hairbrush and get over my lap." Her tone was firm, but with a touch of reluctance.
