Lion-o sighed gently; he was beginning to understand what he must have been like as a child. Not understand the full danger that his actions put himself in and laughing off attempts to point it out had been a common theme of this childhood. Like the kittens he’d been expected to take care of himself, but that hadn’t stopped people from stepping in when he needed it. He hardened his gaze at Kat. “And if the trees had been higher, would that have stopped you?”
Kat gulped under Lion-o’s gaze, he considered lying at first but he had the feeling that Lion-o already knew the answer and, with Lion-o’s tone being different to his norm, he had no idea how he would react. Raising his head he meet Lion-o’s stern eyes and admit “I guess it wouldn’t have but…”
