The Trouble with Yuki... (For Takashi)

[Nerine]

"Oh, nothing...just, he's really cute, and he's involved in a lot of clubs..." She blushed brightly as she fiddled with her chopsticks. "I think I might ask him to hang out with me..."

[Komuro]

"Go for it sweetie, I know he'll like you." she encouraged.

[Nerine]

Yuki smiled. She was happy to know that her mother would encourage her to date a boy if she wanted. The rest of the night was uneventful, but good, and Yuki's bottom was a bit sore still when she went to sleep.

The next day, Yuki was at her locker at the last bell. She had orchestra club after school, so she would need to hurry. It was then that she saw Takashi walking down the hall. She stared at him, trying to gain the courage to walk up to him and say hello.

[Komuro]

"Don't even try, runt." said a snark female voice. It was Mizune the spoiled rich girl of the school. "Do you honestly think trash like you could get a guy like that?" she cackled arrogantly. "I've already got my sights set on him so scurry off runt."

[Nerine]

Yuki was taken by surprise at Mizune's taunt. She turned to look at her and bit her lip. "I'm not a runt..." she said pathetically. Yuki, while more confident with sassing back to her mother (at least until last night, anyway), found it hard to stand up to people who made fun of her, though not many did. "Does...does he even know you exist, Mizune? I've never seen you talk to him."

[Komuro]

Mizune scoffed "Everyone knows who I am and those who don't, I make sure they do! And anyone who's short than by brests is a runt in my book!" She flicked her forehead. "Don't forget your place. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got another boyfriend to make, he'll make a fine addition to my collection." And with that she turns and proceeds to walk toward him.

[Nerine]

"Wait..." she said softly as she walked away. She couldn't let this happen. She couldn't let Mizune ruin this for her! "I said wait!" she called out much louder. "Who do you think you are?" She said as she walked up to Mizune. "Besides some rich slut!" Her own words surprised her as those nearby stopped their conversations to look at them.

[Komuro]

Mizune stopped once she called her a slut she looked back at her with a glare "How dare you call me a slut you worm!" She was about to raise her arm to slap her when all of a sudden her hand was caught by a male's hand from behind. "What...!?" she looked back and saw it was Takashi. "Is there a problem sempai?" he asked. Mizune gasped and tried to cover up by putting on an innocent act. "Oh! Takashi-sempai! this runt was bothering me! I was going to teach her some manners! But forget her she's worthless! Let's eat lunch together where we won't be bothered by Tr-"

"That's enough! I've heard a lot about you. How you've been belittling other students and treating them like low-lives. If you think I'm going to eat with someone like you, you're insane. Leave that other sempai alone and get lost." he almost snarled then threw her hand down. Mizune gasped "How dare you! You'll pay for this! Both of you!" and with that she ran off. Takashi sighed, quickly ignoring her empty threat and approached Yuki. "Are you alright?" he asked.

[Nerine]

Yuki clutched her books to her chest and stared at him for a few moments. He had actually defended her! When the silence became suddenly awkward, she responded, "Oh, yes...I'm alright. Nothing really happened." She knew her face must be completely red right now. She really hoped that he didn't know that they were fighting over him. "I...I need to get to orchestra club! Thank you for your help!" she said as she began to walk away.

Takashi thought she was cute holding her books the way she did and with such a blushed face. Before she got too far away, "Hey before you go, I didn't catch your name. And after clubs do you want to hang out afterwards?" he asked.
