Katsumi yanked her arm free, "And honestly I don't care to." she glared at him, she didn't like being handled like that, "The only reason I'm here is because my dad decided to switch jobs. I'd be happier if I were at my old school. They understood me there." she snapped.

(( She switched schools because they moved to a different part of town that happened to be in a different school district. ))

Takashi listened to what she had to say. He saw how upset she was and realized he couldn't take the direct approach. "Would you like to share more with me?" He asked with a half smile. "I'm a reasonable person when I want to... and it sounds like you need someone to consult with."

"I don't want to talk about it." she replied stubbornly. "Now, I have to get home or my dad will be upset." she looked at him for a moment. She sighed and pulled a slip of paper out and quickly wrote her number on it. "Call me later and we'll meet somewhere allright? Right now I gotta get home and make my dad's dinner before he gets home."

Takashi nodded and took the paper with her number. "Alright then." He said as he followed her out. "Where do you live?"

"I just moved . . . I don't remember . . " she replied. In all honesty she remembered, she just never told anyone her exact address, "It's about a ten minute walk from here. Why?" she asked looking at him.

"Well I live in the neighborhood close to here. If you're home is on the way, I could give you a lift on my bike." He offered.

Katsumi shook her head, "I'd rather walk . .it's a nice day. . ." she said hoping she wasn't making it obvious she didn't want him knowing where she lived, "I'll probably call you in about half an hour ok? We can meet at the park or something." she said referring to the park that was about five minutes from the school.

Takashi nodded "You're right, it is a nice day." He said. When she opted to call him, he chuckled and took out a piece of paper from a note pad in his bag and jotted down his number before handing it to her "Can't call me if you don't know my number. The park sounds great, I'll see you then." With that gave her a smile and wave as he headed to the parking lot where his bike was parked. He climbs on, puts his helmet on, kicks back the stand and revs the engine before taking off out of the school and down the street.

Katsumi smiled a little, she was a tad embarassed she'd said she'd call him when she didn't know his number, she waved as he drove off. With that she headed home.

Once she got there she quickly fixed her father's dinner and set it in the microwave, she then wrote a note saying she'd be studying at the park and headed out the door it had taken her about 25 minutes. She took out her phone and called Takashi.
