Taki groaned and sat on the bed, looking himself over lightly. Aside from the quite painful injuries on his chest, he had splinters on his arms and several scratches from where he hit the tree. Any other wounds he had were bumps, bruises and scrapes that otherwise weren’t noticeable unless you were looking.

Link was being rather thorough, but mostly for the big stuff so those bumps and scratches mostly got glossed over for now, the man being much less worried about stuff that’ll heal easier than what won’t. Taking a nod, he examined the splinters a bit and sighed, taking out a cloth. “Hold this, tightly… or not snd bite on it.” link instructed, knowing that once he pulled any of those splinters the boy might holler or wince

Taki shifted lightly and he was checked over, gulping as he took the cloth. He bit into the cloth and closed his eyes, bracing himself.

Link sighed a moment to himself as he watched Taki to ensure he was fine before acting, and gently taking hold of the first one and pulling it without warning, knowing it would be easier and quicker to just power through

Taki muffledly cried out as the splinter was removed, closing an eye. He kept himself still, but tears came to his eyes from the intense pain of this.

Link winced at the sound, but remained stoic as best he could knowing he had to get them out unless Taki get sick from it being untreated. It was definitely the least of either of their worries anyway as the hero continued pulling the pieces out, going quick but careful for him

Taki yelped with each pull, but kept himself still despite that. He was beginning to silently cry, but knew he had to keep still or it would be much worse.

Link managed to get the final one out and gently pat his shoulder when he finished, seeing he had started to cry. He sighed a little and remained close if he needed and let him compose himself first
