The Unexplored (For Frankfly)

"I enjoyed myself too," Lady stated, locating a fallen branch on the ground and raising it to her waist so that it could be dragged back to camp. Lady knew it was too big for a fire pit, but was also aware that the group's survival kits held laser cutting tools. "Oh, and, um, Lanka..." Lady began, not knowing if what she was about to say was entirely appropriate. "It would probably be for the best if you did not mention our... Experiments," Lady said, with a nod. Something about the way that the captain had spoke to her earlier told the android that Amia might show signs of jealousy. The last thing they needed in their current situation was conflict among the crew. "Now, let us make haste and leave here. I feel unsafe in her forest."

Lanka nodded gently. "A-agreed," she said gently, heading back towards the camp grounds. "Hopefully the captain isn't terribly annoyed that we've taken so long to get back."

"Ugh, where are those two?" the captain asked, grumbling to herself and huffing, pacing back and forth, using a battery-power torch to keep the place lit.

"I-I think I see them coming, captain," Tipi reported, watching the base of the distant, darkened woods. Indeed, two figures were emerging from the far-off foliage, one dragging a large branch and the other carrying an armful of thinner, lighter wood. It wasn't long before Tipi could confirm that the approaching people were indeed their returning crew mates.

"Welcome back, guys!" Tipi greeted, thankful she was no longer alone with the captain after their awkward little exchange earlier.

Lady gave a small wave with her free hand.

"Hello, Tipi. Captain," she added, with a nod to the redhead commander.

Amia nodded to them both. "You two were gone rather long for just finding some firewood. Everything okay?"

"Um, yes, everything was fine," Lanka told her gently. "It was just difficult finding some proper branches, captain." She smiled.

Lady didn't really know if this was a great excuse or not, but said nothing. However, the android could see that the little blue-skinned alien was eyeing them suspiciously, as if she knew exactly what they had been up to. In reality, Tipi knew no such thing, but the cabin girl had collected firewood with Lanka when the two had been alone in an area with much less wood available, and yet, they had collected enough in half the time that it took these two. However, Tipi did not want to think badly of her fellow crash survivors. After all, she had a good deal of respect for Lanka, as well as Lady.

Lanka set the wood down and the captain assisted her in getting a decent sized blaze going before nodding. "Well then, now is as good a time as any to go over anything we've learned about this planet... you said you two hadn't encountered anything sentient?"

"No ma'am, though we have seen some animals, most of them seem to be herbivores and insectivores, but we haven't encountered any larger predators yet."

Lady spoke up next.

"I did detect some large tracks in the woods, captain. As I am programmed for star craft operation rather than planetary exploration, I was unable to identify them," Lady stated, her tone blank. She had seen some tracks left by animals of some sorts, but she had been far too busy smacking away at Lanka's chubby bare bottom to mention her discovery to the engineer.

Amia nodded. "Well, if they are animals, I'm relatively certain that our fire will keep them at bay. But just as a precaution, you should all probably keep any weaponry you have close at hand for the night." She warmed her hands over the fire softly. Ahhh, it was so warm and! toasty... kinda reminded her of... no, no, no, she had to get rid of those thoughts, and she needed to get rid of them now

"Very well, captain," Lady said with a nod. "I will keep watch for the night." Lady gave her blaster a shake. "Remember to inform me about any dreams that you might have, captain," Lady said with something of a smile across her face. In the fire's light, her cold, grey eyes appeared almost human.

Tipi blushed as she heard the android say this. The captain had told her all about her spanking escapades with the robot, and was wondering if the same, stern woman who had put the young cabin girl across her knee would get her own rear end warmed tonight.

She just barely managed to keep the flush from her face. "Ah, of course." She coughed a little bit, standing up and brushing herself off. "Anyways, all of you should get some sleep as well," she nodded to Lanka and Tipi. "I'll be heading off to bed. Lady, stay near my tent, just in case you need to rouse me if there is trouble." She walked over to the tent and scuttled in, slowly.
