Rune maylorn was sitting in her castle, red eyes watching the rain beat down against the dark windows that looked into the forest from the hilltop where it set. She was glade that everyone feared coming to this area due to her presence because she was one who didn't enjoy constant company. Even though she did occasionally get lonely. Brushing a strand of her long raven black hair from her face she turned her attention once again away from the storm and back to the book that she had been reading.

Andy Gale was walking in the dark forest. He was a monster hunter, despite being rather young for such a profession. He had heard of a powerful vampire residing in these parts and wanted to slay it. He spotted a castle and deduced that the vampire was living there. He carefully snuck up to it, as he grabbed a rock in his hands. He didn`t want to barge in through the door, so he used the rock to break a window. As soon as he had jumped inside he took out two twin daggers and started to carefully walk around to look for his prey.

Rune had heard the glass break and stood up, ready to fight. however as soon as she inhaled the air she noticed that the scent was that of a child and she allowed herself to relax a bit as she hid in the shadows. She was angry at the broken window and the fact that the boy had just barged in. so she stood waiting on him to walk by.

Andy couldn`t hide his nervousness as he walked around the castle. His body trembled slightly as his eyes flickered about to look for the vampire. He occationally twirled his daggers in order to take some tension off himself. " Where are you?! Show yourself!" he called out in the darkness.

Andy whirled around as the vampire spoke to him. " I-I came here to slay you and get money for your death." he said as he pointed his daggers towards her. He was trying to sound brave, but he couldn`t hide his nervousness.

"You and what army kid? And with daggers? Plus you're just a kid......Just how big of a chance do you think you have?"

Andy glared at the vampire. " A good one!" he growled and leapt towards her as he slashed at her with his daggers, hoping to hit her.

Rune carefully caught and disarmed him, the only damage he had caused was along the side of her shirt.
"Why have you decided to attack me anyway boy? I haven't bothered anyone since I've lived here."

Andy gasped as his daggers were knocked loose from his hands. He couldn`t help feeling sad and guilty about her question. " I...heard that...vampires...are worth a lot...so I decided to try and kill you..." he said softly as his eyes flickered around, unable to meet hers. " I`m sorry...that was a selfish thing to do."
