Pike shook his head, "Yes you do, James." he answered, spanking harder, putting more force behind the smacks. "And because you need guidance Jim, if you want to remain Captain, then I'm going to have to make sure you act so, from now on. And since I can't trust you to speak the truth to me on screen, then I'm going to have to be there to witness it myself." he explained, spanking more firmly on the thighs. "Now, what do you have to say for yourself?"

Bones nodded his head, since there was no need for concern over Jim's well being. "With Pike huh....that sounds somewhat worrying." he chuckled before walking onto the Enterprise and down to the med bay. He looked over the reports. "Looks like Admiral Pike's going to be joining us on our next mission, and for a fair few into the future. Someone to babysit Jim."

When Pike once again told him that he acted like a little boy Jim shook his head though he was biting his bottom lip at this point so he couldn't really further argue wtih the man even though he very much wanted to at this point. The harder smacks that the man was delivering broke through the rest of his defenses and Jim started to cry, feeling very much like a well chastised little boy at this point, the man sniffling and yelping as Pike landed smacks to his thighs. "I'm s-sorry!" he said when he was asked what he had to say for himself, Jim finally ceasing to struggle and just laying limply over the man's lap and crying.

Spoke nodded his head when McCoy said that it sounded somewhat worrying that the captain was currently with the admiral. "Perhaps," he said, following along behind the medical officer as he made his way down to the med bay, mainly because the man was talking to him so it would be rude to just walk in a different direction. "It seems strange that the Admiral is coming along but I trust that he has his reasons," the Vulcan said, not coming out and saying that it was as a babysitter for the captain but he had thought it as well.

Pike smiled a little sadly when Jim started to cry, since he knew it was hurting but he also knew that the spanking was over for the lad. "Good boy Jimmy, shhh." he said gently, rubbing the young man's back. "You've come such a long way from the day I found you in the bar." he said softly. "I'm so proud of the young Captain you are becoming James." he stood him up, re dressed him and then wrapped his arms around him. "It's okay Jim." he said, rubbing his back, knowing the kid would need comfort.

Bones nodded his head, "Yeah, I guess." he answered, walking into the med bay and prepping his equipment should Jim happen to need him to beam down with them. He knew Jim and Spock and Pike were going, but he didn't know if he would be invited down to the planet's surface, or if Jim would prefer him on Enterprise. He'd have to wait to see what the Captain said.

Jim couldn't believe that he'd been reduced to tears but at least it seemed as though Pike wasn't quite as mad at him as he'd been before since he wasn't calling him James. He had never had a problem with his given name but for some reason hearing Pike call him that just put him on edge, almost like a child would be if their parent did the same thing. It was a bit weird to him to be offered the comfort after the punishment but he actually wrapped his arms around Pike and said softly, "Glad you think I'm not a total screw up but...that really hurt. Did you have to hit me that hard?"

Spock watched as the doctor gathered up his equipment and readied everything that he could conceivably need should he be asked to go on the mission with them. "You are very good at being prepared Doctor," the Vulcan said, this coming out sounding like a very strange observation but the Vulcan meant it as a compliment since McCoy really did seem to be prepared for most situations.

"Yeah Jim, I think that spanking was long overdue." Pike answered and rubbed his back, "So it needed to make a lasting impression, now come on, we have a mission, and we're already behind schedule." he informed and lead Jim out of his office and into the shuttle to take them back to the Enterprise. "Hello Mister Spock." he greeted, stepping onto the bridge with Jim in tow. "Captain Kirk, perhaps you'd like to organize the landing party?" he asked.

Bones smiled and nodded his head, "Well, thanks Spock, but it's sorta a necessity." he answered and arched a brow when Pike entered with Jim. "Damn it Jim, you look like hell." he pointed out.

Jim shook his head when Pike told him that the spanking was long overdue since he just didn't agree with that one little bit. "No it wasn't, it was unnecessary," he said unhappily but then nodded when the admiral went on to say that they should return to the ship since they had a mission. He still didn't think that Pike should be coming along but he didn't say that as he made his way to the shuttle, squirming the entire way back to the Enterprise. "Yes sir," he said when Pike mentioned organizing a landing party and then he looked at Bones when he heard what the man had to say. "Thanks for stating the obvious Bones," he told him before pointing to the medical officer and Spoke. "We'll take the backstabber and Bones...that should be enough."

Spock nodded his head in the admiral's direction when he was greeted and he said, "Welcome aboard Admiral." He looked at Jim when he heard what McCoy said and he could tell what had happened just by looking at the captain's face but he said nothing about that. Though he did look at the man when he called him a back stabber. "I have done no such thing Captain, I merely filed a report," he told him calmly.

Pike nodded his head at Spock when he said welcome aboard. "Thank you Spock." he answered and then frowned when Jim called Spock a backstabber. "James." he said in a warning tone of voice but then mentioned nothing more, since he didn't want to go back and forth with the file reported, especially after he'd spanked the man. "I think Doctor McCoy and First Officer Spock are a fine choice." he added, smiling softly.

Bones' eyes sort of sparkled when Jim said that he could come too, but of course, he felt torn between Spock and Jim, he liked the both of them...well he liked Jim, but he admired Spock. "I think Spock thought he was doing the right thing Jim, by taking the responsibility for what happened, I don't think he meant to get you in any kind of trouble." he explained, sending Spock a soft look. "Right Spock?"

Jim looked over at Pike when the man said his name in that warning tone and he took it for what it was but he refused to apologize. He looked a little bit betrayed when Bones decided to take up for the pointy eared bastard though, Jim shaking his head as he said, "He threw me under the bus, plain and simple Bones." Which was how he thought that it had gone down, his gaze going to Spock as the Vulcan denied it.

Spock could tell that Jim was still angry with him and for some reason that he could not adequately quantify, that bothered him. He looked at McCoy when the doctor actually defended him and he nodded in response to the question. "That was not my intention. As I stated before I had no way of knowing prior to submitting my report that Captain Kirk had been less than truthful on his own," he stated.

"Right, drop the conversation now." Pike cut across sharply. "Doctor McCoy, you didn't even need to interfere." he said in a scolding sort of tone, which caused Bones to look a little bothered since he'd just been trying to keep the peace. "Everything is dealt with, so I'll have no more talk of what transpired. The next person to utter a word of it, stays behind at Star Fleet during this mission, is that understood?" he asked, eyeing all three of the men.

"Yes Admiral." Bones answered and looked to Jim. "Mr Chekov's set a course for the planet Olderia, we should be there within the next two hours Jim." he informed, trying to change the subject so neither of his friends ended up staying behind. "Thanks for adding me to the landing party, I hope I'll be able to offer some aid." he said before heading off to the medical bay, awaiting further instructions.

Jim looked at Pike when he spoke sharply and scolded Bones, the young captain not appreciating that one. "Hey, don't take this out on Bones, he's the only one that was NOT involved," he felt the need to say, his gaze shifting to his friend when Bones thanked him for adding him to the landing party. "Don't mention it Bones, you're OCD but you're still useful," he told him, giving his friend a grin though it was only half hearted thanks to the state of his backside.

Spock looked over at Pike when the man snapped at them to drop the conversation, the Vulcan nodding his head as he said, "Yes Admiral." He wasn't going to argue the point though he did look at the captain as he argued that McCoy hadn't been involved and he tended to agree since the doctor had only been trying to help the situation between them, which he was appreciative of.
