Spock was relieved when the spanking was finally brought to a close and he soaked up the comforting words and pats like a sponge. The Vulcan took a little longer than he would have predicted to compose himself but then when Jim offered him a hug, Spock wrapped his arms around the man, needing the security and the comfort, he was just pleased that the Captain had given him his forgiveness. "I shall not disrespect you so again." he said softly, resting his chin on Jim's shoulder. "You will not....tell anyone of my disciplinary...will you?"

"Ofcourse not Spock," Jim dutifully assured as he secured Spock in his arms, continuing to stroke along his back for as long as he felt he needed "Disciplinary action is, at all times, to be kept strictly confidential between the parties involved," the captain found himself quoting from an old, but heavily studied for an air-tight defence, paragraph from...well, if not a form then the Starfleet Manual he supposed "Besides, you've served your punishment well; it's over now, I see no reason to speak of it again once we leave this room,"

"I do want you to promise me one thing, though..." Jim added after a moment's consideration.

Spock was content to stay close to Jim as the young man rubbed his back and offered his comforts. It was nice to have that security after a punishment. "Thank you Captain." he answered and was about to ask a question of his own but before he could, Jim cut across with that he wanted Spock to promise him something, the Vulcan frowning a little. "Yes Captain?" he prompted.

"I know Vulcans are known for their...honesty, but please Spock," Despite the inclination to retain an semi-authorative air, Jim found a hint of desperation making its' way on to his features "Try and rope that mouth in a little will ya? Especially when off ship," troubling clouds of thought seemed to brew beneath the surface of the captain's thoughts now that the matter had had enough time to settle "I've no doubt the Klingons won't be inclined to let us off that easy, for a while its' best not to...push our luck, if you catch my drift?" he paused a moment before continuing "I'd rather not see any harm come to you Spock, you're far too valuable an officer to lose."

Spock frowned a little and listened to what the Captain was saying, "Yes Captain, I understand." he answered and then opened his mouth to speak when Jim said he was too valuable to lose, but he ended up closing it again and saying nothing. Instead he got up from Jim's lap and pulled up his pants and underwear. "Do not worry Captain, I shall keep myself in check." he confirmed.

"Oh I've no doubt you will Spock," Jim amended with a gentle touch to Spock's shoulder, revering in the moment of pride for how far the Vulcan seemed to have come in such a short amount of time.

"Now c'mon, we've a mission to complete haven't we?" There was a definite bounce returning to the captain's tone as he spoke, motioning for the Vulcan to follow him back to the bridge "If all goes well we should be able to reach Krytus II without further incident,"

Spock nodded his head, grateful for the change of subject now that his punishment was done with. But he still had his queries. "This....spanking punishment....you mentioned it being official...did you mean that, Captain?" he asked and then followed him to the door of the room, waiting for the man to slide open the door.

The question paused Jim in his stride, allowing the captain a brief moment in which to genuinely consider the option "Well, Spock; considering how...effectively you appear to respond to the method, I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't considering making it an official form of discipline," he admitted, tilting his head a moment as he further considered what advantages that could possibly be gained. He then turned a rather telling grin Spock's way "I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens, won't we?" and with that, Jim proceeded back to the bridge.

Spock blushed a light shade of green when Jim confirmed that he was considering making spanking his official form of discipline. "I agree that it is effective...however I do not...wish for you to do so." he admitted and then gave a silent nod when Jim said that they would have to see what happens. He then followed the brunette Captain back to the bridge, keeping in stride with him.

"Captain on ze bridge!" Chekov called.

"Orders, Captain?" Sulu asked.

"See if you can plot a detour to Krytus II, Mister Sulu; apparently the colonists have encountered something that's set them up in arms. Just because we need to be cautious doesn't mean we shouldn't carry on with our lives," The Captain ordered as he sank comfortably back into his station, beginning to adjust a few controls as he spoke "Uhura, initiate radio silence to be on the safe side, if the Klingons have been on even half the shopping spree they're rumoured then I don't want to take any chances,"

"Aye sir," Lieutenant Uhura affirmed. As Spock wandered past to his station, she couldn't help but notice a sort of...unease...to his features, to which she regarded with an expression of curious concern. She waited a few moments for the bridge to settle into its' normal set of chatter, being sure to glance back to see the crewmembers very much distracted with their work before discreetly leaning towards the Vulcan "Spock?"
