Jim felt himself barely suppressing a sigh at Spock's lack of recognition for the metaphor he'd used--there were more important matters at hand "On the contrary Spock, McCoy and I both agree that not only was your attitude a less than satisfactory example of a Starfleet officer but your behaviour was so far out of the bounds of inappropriate that I can barely find the words to explain it!" so instead, the captain reached out to take Spock by the wrist, pulling him sharply across his lap.

Spock sighed, resisting the urge to roll his eyes, a need he had not felt until he had butted heads with Jim and Bones. "And?" he asked, sounding not at all sorry for his actions. "C-Captain, no, please!" he pleaded and shook his head when the Captain took his wrist and pulled him over his lap. "Captain, please not in front of the Doctor...."

"Oh no, Spock." McCoy instantly stepped in, absentmindedly mimicking the captain's former stature of arms crossing across his chest "I was part of this from the minute I caught you in Jim's room; and I intend to make my grievance known."

Jim continued to secure Spock across his lap through Bones' adamant statement, wasting no time in pressing him firmly into his lap "Something that, unfortunately, I must agree with Spock," he began to explain, a raised hand landing all too quickly across the Vulcan's backside "If desecration of property weren't a bad enough charge, the fact that it had to be Bones report this to me just makes the entire thing all the worse--of all the reckless, irresponsible stunts you've pulled these past few days; this just takes the proverbial cake!"

Mortified was the only word Spock could label what he was feeling at that time, as he was pulled over Jim's knee and in Bones' presence. Sure Bones had spanked him, seen his bottom even but having him there to witness his current punishment was just extremely unpleasant. "OW!" he gasped as Jim laid a hard smack to his backside. "Jim, this is not the worst thing I have done." he scoffed.

After a brief exchange of unimpressed glances with Bones, Jim turned his attention back to Spock dryly "How do you figure?" he demanded in a tone that allowed just a pinch of curiosity to come through--why did he get the feeling he wasn't going to like where this was about to turn?

Spock hated every moment of this and he shook his head, "Considering some of my offenses has warranted a punishment with a hairbrush, I assumed the offense was worse then." Spock answered and tried to get up from the Captain's lap.

Jim kept Spock firmly across his lap at the attempt, landing another set of stinging smacks to his backside "Who says that this isn't just as bad? Last time I checked, vandalism was actually a pretty serious offence to consider, Spock."

Spock squirmed over the Captain's lap and shook his head, "I hardly label what I did, as vandalism." he answered, resisting the urge to scoff as he made a second attempt to get up. A string of cries emitted from his lips at the set of smacks and he kicked his legs, "Jim, decease!"

"You can't possibly justify it as a rational reaction!" Bones interjected over Spock's complaint, making no secret of how aghast he felt at the Vulcan's lack of logic for the situation "Vandalism is the destruction, defacing or tampering of personal property; no matter the context, vandalism is vandalism."

"Agreed," Jim wasted no time in affirming, falling steadily into an all too familiar rhythm that he was sure Spock's bottom must have been all too familiar with by now "And by how surly the sound of it, you wanted it to be as much--I thought your Vulcan heritage prevented such irrational acting out?"
